From the Charter: Vacancies: If a seat on the CIOC becomes vacant, the Chair, in consultation with the President, appoints a new member to serve only for the remainder of the year in which the vacancy arose. At the next scheduled election, that position is considered vacant.
Composition: Chair selected from the VSI manufacturer members, by the VSI manufacturer members only, for a two-year term, with a two term limit. All chairs must have served on the CIOC for at least one year.

Course Updates/Certified Trainers• Since the Certified Installer course is based on the Installation
Manual, when the manual was updated,▫ Updates were made to the PowerPoint for the Certified Installer
course and the Installer and Trainer Supplements▫ A flash drive with the new PPT and documents was sent to all
Certified Trainers in Julyy▫ 3 new Certified Trainers in June▫ DataBanque is continuing to gather/keep information on
interested Certified Trainer candidates▫ Certified Trainer calls are being scheduled for October, where we
will discuss Changes to the course Update on online training Feedback on the Program, the Administrator and VSI Time to discuss trends, marketing, issues in different markets
Exam Update• An exam workshop was held in the fall of 2014 to
review and update the exam blueprint, review the current exam and update the exam questions▫ A follow-up workshop is being scheduled, and we are

• The CIOC approved moving forward in August 2014, and the Steering Committee approved September 2014
• A contract was awarded to Dashe & Thomson for the following components:▫ Produce a Web-based version of the existing course conducive to online learning ▫ Provide a Learning Management System (LMS) for hosting the course.
