While Friends may hail from different cities and backgrounds, they share many common traits like…

A life-long, intellectual curiosity;

A personal connection to health challenges;

A belief in the power of high-quality, multidisciplinary care to extend, improve, and save lives; and

A desire to support the work of the medical science pioneers of today and tomorrow.

UT Southwestern is where innovation happens for both scientific pursuit of the next big breakthroughs in medicine and cutting-edge patient care. Friends will hear from experts working on everything from autism and epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease and stroke, diabetes and heart disease, to cancer.

Circle of Friends gifts fund innovative research grants awarded to promising early career clinician-scientists. This seed funding is critical to spurring new and creative approaches to solving long-standing challenges. Our health depends on it.

Philanthropic support from the Circle of Friends can be a gateway for early career faculty to secure external funding for their work like that of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Now more than ever, they need this catalytic start as the average age for first-time investigators receiving NIH funding has risen to 42 years old for Ph.D. holders and even higher for holders of M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degrees.

Choose where to direct your support from the following:

• Where needed most

• Brain

• Cancer

• Heart, Lung, and Vascular

• Nutrition, Diabetes, and Obesity

A portion of your UT Southwestern Circle of Friends annual membership is tax-deductible.
