Originating from South Korea, circle lenses have been popular throughout Asian countries. This then

started that whole "Ulzzang" or doll-like frenzy all around Asia. However, its popularity has now sky

rocketed, and has spread throughout different parts of the world including the United States.

Circle lenses are almost the same as regular colored contact lenses aside from the fact that they give the

illusion of a much bigger iris. Most of these lenses have a thick outer rim to them, while some do not.

However, these lenses do vary in sizes depending on how enlarged you want your iris to appear. These

lenses vary from a 14.0mm which is the smallest, to as big as 16.0mm. This is another reason why they

are called circle lens instead of just the regular term, contact lens.

From the natural looking lenses that will give you just the right amount of enlargement, or a slight boost

in color, to the very extreme unrealistic looking lenses that looks almost costume-like, circle lenses come

in a huge variety of styles and colors. Due to the effects, these lenses are very popular among teenagers

and young adults as a fashion accessory, in Asia. Although many people use it as just as an accessory,

circle lenses are readily available with prescription by websites across the world.

Since circle lenses are a little bit thicker than the usual contact lenses that your optometrist prescribes,

the time that you wear them also will differ. People might find discomfort with prolonged use as a

result. However, this might vary among different people who have used circle lenses before. Some may

find it extremely comfortable, while some may find discomfort with the usage.

As the United States' FDA has not actually approved these lenses, it is up to you to proceed with caution

in regards to trying them, especially if it's your first time. If you have any questions regarding circle

lenses, it is best to contact the buyer before making a purchase, and doing some research before you

decide to use them. Use at your own risk!

No matter what your style is, circle lenses are a fun way to change your outlook.
