The Cisco Networking Academy NetRiders Turkey, Middle East and North Africa (TMENA) 2015 CCNA Skills Competition Terms and Conditions The Cisco Networking Academy NetRiders Turkey, Middle East and North Africa 2015 CCNA Skills Competition (the Competition) begins 9 March 2015 at 8:00 am and ends 17 June 2015 at 8:00 pm (Competition Period). All times listed in these official rules are Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The Competition is sponsored by Cisco Systems International B.V., Haarlerbergpark, Haarlerbergweg 13-19, 1101 CH Amsterdam, The Netherlands (Cisco or Sponsor). These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Competition. Cisco may, in its sole but good faith discretion, amend or supplement these Terms and Conditions at any time, which change shall be effective as to Contestants three business days after posting notice of such change on the Competition Site. www.academynetriders.com The Competition consists of two periods: the Registration Period and the Competition Exam Period which consists of three rounds. Eligible entrants (Contestants) may register for the Competition beginning 9 March 2015 at 8:00 am GMT and ending 17 April 2015 at 8:00 pm GMT (the Registration Period). Before registering, each Contestant must receive an enrolment key from their Networking Academy Instructor (each, an Instructor) or by reading the FAQ on the regional pre-login page for the Turkey, Middle East and North Africa, and may be required to download certain software or take other steps in order to compete in the Competition as more fully described in the How to Participate Section 2 below. The Competition will be provided in English and French. Contestants may only take the exams in one of the two offered languages. Contestants compete individually and must be proctored at one of the designated locations in each participating country. The technical content of the competition is geared toward CCNA certifications. See the Cisco Learning Network for details on which skills this certification covers: https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/community/certifications/ccnaIn addition, there will be some Internet of Everything and soft skills questions. The Competition Exam Period consists of three (3) rounds: Round One will be held on Wednesday, 6 May 2015 and each Contestant must select which location they will compete at on this date. Depending on the country and location, the actual times for each location are listed on the Location Selection task on the competition page (Assigned Round One Exam Period). Round Two will be held on Wednesday, 27 May 2015 and each Contestant must select which location they will compete at on this date. Depending on the country and location, the actual times for each location are listed on the Location Selection task on the competition page (Assigned Round Two Exam Period). Round Three will be held on Wednesday, 17 June 2015 and each Contestant must select which location they will compete at on this date. Depending on the country and location, the actual times for each location are listed on the Location Selection task on the competition page (Assigned Round Three Exam Period). Each Round Three Contestant will be provided a 2 hour time block in which they must go to their Select Location to login and complete a one hour exam and login to a Cisco WebEx session for 15 minutes to answer questions in front of a panel of judges. During the Registration Period, Contestants must complete a Location Selection Task indicating which location they will participate at during their Assigned Exam Period. See Exhibit B for list of locations. It is each Contestants responsibility to arrive at their designated location before the start time. Some locations have limited space available. A Contestants place will be reserved based on the date and time they complete the Location Selection Task. Once capacity is filled at a location, Contestants will be put on a waiting list and will need to show up at the designated location at the start time in case anyone is absent. 1. Eligibility. To be eligible to participate in the Competition, entrants must satisfy all of the following criteria: (a) must be a current Cisco Networking Academy student who is or will be currently and validly* enrolled in before 17 April 2015 or former Cisco Networking Academy student who recently completed with a passing grade within the last 10 months prior to the Competition registration open date (9 March 2015), any level 3 or 4 course in CCNA Routing and Switching, CCNA Discovery, or CCNA Exploration at a Cisco Networking Academy within a country listed below; (b) must be at least 16 years of age as of 17 April 2015; (c) must provide a valid Cisco NetSpace screen name and password when registering for the Competition; (d) must have Internet access that supports participation; and (e) must be a full-time resident* of a country listed below (Contestants): AfghanistanAlgeriaBahrainEgyptIraqJordanLebanonMoroccoOmanPakistanPalestineTunisiaTurkeyUnited Arab Emirates While Contestants may reside in a different country on the list above, Contestants will represent and compete for the country where their academy is located. Both the full-time residence of the Contestant and the location of the academy must be within the country list above to be eligible for this Competition. In addition to those not meeting the criteria set forth above, the following are expressly excluded from participation in the Competition as a Contestant: (i) Instructors or Staff members; (ii) previous NetRiders Study Trip Prize winners (iii) Cisco employees including internally contracted vendors of Sponsor and their respective parents, subsidiaries, agents, promotion partners, and affiliates (collectively, the Competition Entities); (iv) employees and contractors of government-affiliated companies or organizations where participation in this Competition and/or acceptance of the prizes would be contrary to their company or organization rules or policy; and (v) immediate family and household members of any of the foregoing. Cisco reserves the right to modify in its sole discretion the list of eligible countries. *Validly enrolled students have activity in their course gradebook and are either taking the course for the first time or re-taking it because they did not pass it the first time.**A resident need not have legal citizenship in the country to be eligible but they do need to be legally residing (includes student and work visas) in that country during the competition period. In addition, students may not be concurrently registered for two different NetRiders competitions even though they may meet eligibility requirements for both. Students need to select one competition at a time to participate in and being enrolled in two or all three of the CCNA, CCENT and IT Essentials NetRiders competitions concurrently is cause for disqualification. 2. How to Participate. To register for the Competition, each Contestant (sometimes referred to below as you or your) must do all of the following: Obtain an enrolment key from your instructor or by reading the FAQ posted on the Turkey, Middle East and North Africa regional page. You must have an enrolment key to participate. (Instructors can request this from their ASC or by sending an email to [email protected])Go to www.academynetriders.com (Competition Site) and login using your Cisco NetSpace screen name and password.If new to the site, create a new account by reviewing the pre-populated information and submitting all required information as instructed. Select NetRiders Turkey, Middle East and North Africa 2015 and then select Turkey, Middle East and North Africa 2015 CCNA NetRiders.Agree to these Terms and Conditions. Type in your enrolment key. You will now be enrolled in the Competition and able to view the competition page.Contestants will represent and compete for the academy they are currently enrolled in or most recently completed an eligible CCNA course and therefore also the country where their academy is located. During the Registration period, participate in the practice site (the Practice Site). Sign in for the Practice Site using your login and password (described below).During the Registration period, complete the Location Selection Task. You must complete this task during the Registration period to participate. To complete this Location Selection Task you will need to select the location where you will participate in this Competition. This Location Selection Task can be found on the Turkey, Middle East and North Africa 2015 CCNA NetRiders competition page after you enroll in the competition.The computer on which you are competing must have Packet Tracer 6.1.1 or higher installed on the computer being used. You can download the most current version of Packet Tracer at no cost from the Cisco NetSpace website at https://www.netacad.com/group/offerings/packet-tracer (post-login). See Exhibit A for details on recommended computer specifications. Practice Site: During the Registration Period, we strongly encourage each Contestant to complete a Theoretical Exam and a Packet Tracer Activity Exam on the Practice Site. The Practice Site is accessible from a link on the Turkey, Middle East and North Africa 2015 CCNA NetRiders competition page and from the NetRiders Turkey, Middle East and North Africa 2015 competition category on the home page post-login. The enrolment key for the Practice Site is available in the summary block on that page. The Practice Site has two CCNA exam samples that can be accessed and taken. The first is a Practice Theoretical Exam with multiple choice, fill-in, and matching questions. It may include a Packet Tracer file that will have to be downloaded and opened in Packet Tracer 6.1.1 or higher but does not require configuration. The second exam is a Practice PT Activity Exam where participants download Packet Tracer files and complete configurations using Packet Tracer 6.1.1 or higher and then return to the Competition Site to answer the questions. Note: Practice Exam answers and scores are not included in Competition scoring. The purpose of this Practice Site is solely to familiarize Contestants with the Competition site, question formats, and site access (including firewall, proxy settings, image loading, etc), and check that Packet Tracer 6.1.1 or higher is properly installed prior to the Competition Exam Period. 3. Competition Exam Period The Competition consists of three Rounds. Contestants must have Packet Tracer 6.1.1 or higher installed on the computer being used. You can download the most current version of Packet Tracer at no cost from the Cisco NetSpace website at https://www.netacad.com/group/offerings/packet-tracer (post-login). Confirm you can participate in all three Rounds prior to registering for the Competition. All Competition exams or other submissions must occur at the dates and times indicated by Cisco to be eligible. Contestants must take the exams below at one of the designated locations. They will need to go to the location they selected in the Location Selection Task during the Registration Period. During the dates for each round, each Contestant must be proctored while they complete the following tasks during their Assigned Exam Period. During the Competition Exam Period, Contestants participate in up to three rounds of exams and practical activities (each, a Round) as described below. A. Round One: All Round One Contestants must open and take the Round One Exams Wednesday, 6 May 2015 at the designated times for the location they selected during the Registration Period. (Assigned Round One Exam Period). Round One will consist of the following: An online exam featuring 90 questions to be completed in 60 minutes (Round One Exam), andA practical skills PT Activity Exam (Round One PT Activity Exam) featuring 15 questions based on a Packet Tracer 6.1.1 activity which the Contestants must download from the Competition Site (Round One PT Activity) and complete. The Round One PT Activity and the Round One PT Activity Exam must both be completed in 60 minutes. The time will begin once you access the Round One PT Activity Exam. The Round One PT Activity will be embedded within the Round One PT Activity Exam.During your Assigned Exam Period and under the proctoring of a Networking Academy instructor or Cisco employee, Contestants must sign into the Competition Site using their Cisco NetSpace login credentials to complete the Round One Exams in the allotted time. Contestants will need an exam password (Password) to access each exam. The Round One Exam Passwords will be provided by the proctor at each location. Once a Contestant types in the exam password and submits it, the exam will be active and the timer will begin counting down the allotted time. Contestants may only compete in one language so activating an exam in more than one language is cause for disqualification even if the Contestant does not answer any questions on one of the exams. Once a Contestant opens an exam, the time begins and you may not pause that exam. Contestants may go back and forth between the pages of questions by hitting the Save without submitting button. Contestants may change their answers up until the time they hit the Save all and finish button before the timer runs out. No external aids, including but not limited to books or websites, may be used for the exams except Engineer Journal Notes taken from the Packet Tracer activity and/or exam. Copying or sharing of exam questions, images or files is not allowed. Contestants can complete these activities only during the Assigned Round One Exam Period and they must be proctored by a Cisco Networking Academy instructor or Cisco employee at one of the designated locations Subject to the requirements set forth in Section 4 (Judging and Notification), the top five validated scores (with an minimum 60%) in each academy will be the Selected Round One Contestants and entitled to advance to Round Two of the Competition (the Round Two Contestants). Only rankings will be posted. We will not post nor provide actual scores to Contestants or Instructors. B. Round Two: All Round Two Contestants must open and take the Round Two Exams Wednesday, 27 May 2015 at the designated times for the location they selected during the Registration Period. (Assigned Round Two Exam Period). Round Two will consist of the following: An online exam featuring 100 questions to be completed in not more than 60 minutes (Round Two Exam), andA practical skills PT Activity Exam (Round Two PT Activity Exam) featuring 20 questions based on a Packet Tracer activity which the Round Two Contestants must download from the Competition Site (Round Two PT Activity) and complete. The Round Two PT Activity and the Round Two PT Activity Exam must both be completed in a total of 90 minutes. The time will begin once you access the Round Two PT Activity Exam. The Round Two PT Activity will be embedded within the Round Two PT Activity Exam. During your Assigned Exam Period and under the proctoring of a Networking Academy instructor or Cisco employee, Contestants must sign into the Competition Site using their Cisco NetSpace login credentials to complete the Round Two Exams in the allotted time. Subject to the requirements set forth in Section 4 (Judging and Notification), the top 15 validated scores (with an minimum 70%) among all eligible Round Two Contestants will be the Selected Round Two Contestants and entitled to advance to Round Three of the Competition (the Round Three Contestants). Selected Round Three Contestants will be required to complete a task on the NetRiders CCNA competition page confirming their plan to participate in Round Three and the language they will be participating in for the Practical Exam. Failure to complete this task by the date provided is cause for disqualification and Cisco may pick the next highest score to compete in Round Three. Only rankings will be posted. We will not post nor provide actual scores to Contestants or Instructors. C. Round Three: All Round Three Contestants will be assigned a two hour time block for Wednesday, 17 June 2015 at the designated times that will be assigned to Contestants after Round Two. (Assigned Round Three Exam Period). Round Three will consist of the following: An online exam featuring 100 questions to be completed in not more than 60 minutes (Round Three Exam), andA practical skills Exam (Round Three Practical Exam) featuring three to five questions based on a Packet Tracer file with a completed network (Round Three PT File). Contestants will be emailed instructions, a scoring rubric and the Round Three PT file 24 hours before their Assigned Round Three Exam Period. The instructions and scoring rubric will only be provided in the official competition languages. Contestants will be required to join a Cisco WebEx session for 15 minutes and be on video camera before a panel of three to five judges. The panel will ask the Contestant troubleshooting questions based on the instructions and Round Three PT File they were sent. During your Assigned Exam Period and under the proctoring of a Networking Academy instructor or Cisco employee, Contestants must sign into the Competition Site using their Cisco NetSpace login credentials to complete the Round Three Exam in the allotted time. Contestants will need an exam password to access the exam. The Round Three Exam Password will be provided by the proctor at each location. Once a Contestant types in the exam password and submits it, the exam will be active and the timer will begin counting down the allotted time. Contestants may only compete in one language so activating an exam in more than one language is cause for disqualification even if the Contestant does not answer any questions on one of the exams. Once a Contestant opens an exam, the time begins and you may not pause that exam. Contestants may go back and forth between the pages of questions by hitting the Save without submitting button. Contestants must complete both the Round Three Exam and login to a Cisco WebEx during their assigned 15 minute time block all within a two hour block of time. Detailed instructions will be provided via email 24 hours before the Contestants Assigned Round Three Exam Period. Subject to the requirements set forth below in Section 4 (Judging and Notification), the top five scoring Round Three Contestants among the qualifying Round Three Contestants will be deemed the Selected Round Three Contestants and win a prize as listed in Section 5 (Prizes for Round Three) . Only rankings will be posted. We will not post nor provide actual scores to Contestants or Instructors. Online Access. In all Rounds of the Competition, Exams, PT Activities and PT Activity Exams are only available online. In the event online access is not available, for any reason, Contestants will not be eligible to receive a score or otherwise advance in the Competition. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, Cisco cannot guarantee online access for all Contestants. Cisco is under no obligation to provide an offline substitute for any test or activity. Cisco strongly encourages Contestants to use Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer web browsers when accessing the Competition exams. Email Notifications from Cisco: As part of the Competition, Contestants will get emails from Cisco regarding eligibility, reminders to compete in a competition round, Round Two and Round Three exam passwords and instructions, notification of advancement, and reminders to complete any required tasks or provide information requested. In addition, to improve the quality of the NetRiders program, Cisco may send a survey once a year for up to three years after a Contestant has participated in a NetRiders competition. Any emails from Cisco will be sent to the email address associated with the Contestants NetSpace account at time of enrollment in the Competition. Disputes. In the event of a material dispute over the validity of a question or corresponding answer in an Exam or PT Activity Exam, and in Ciscos sole discretion, all Contestants may be credited with the full point value of such question, regardless of the answer provided. Contestants may submit any challenges, questions or comments to [email protected]. Challenges to a question or activity must be submitted within two hours of Exam/Activity completion to be considered. Ciscos decisions regarding any challenges, disputes or other questions are final and non-appealable. Submissions. Submissions must be received according to Sponsors time no later than the dates and times listed in these Terms and Conditions or in notifications received by Contestants. Sponsors clock shall be the official time keeping device of this Competition. No mail, hand or e-mail deliveries will be accepted, except as expressly set forth in these Terms and Conditions. None of the Competition Entities are responsible for late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, void, corrupted, garbled, illegible, and/or unintelligible entries, or for any problems, or malfunctions Contestants may encounter when submitting their entries or scores. Only complete, valid entries and score reports (collectively submissions) will be accepted. Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries or scores. Incomplete, garbled, corrupted or otherwise illegible submissions are void and will not be accepted. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify false submissions or submissions suspected of being false. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any submissions where cheating or sharing of exam questions, answers, images or files is suspected. All submissions submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the winner will be deemed to be the authorized account holder of the profile used to participate in the Competition. 4. Judging and Notification.Round One ScoringThe Round One Exam is 90 questions and each question is valued at 1 point for a total of 90 points. The Round One PT Activity Exam is 15 questions and each question is valued at 6 points for a total of 90 points. There are 180 total possible points for the Round One. The Round One Exam and Round One PT Activity Exam will be automatically scored on the Competition Site. Round One exam scores will be tallied on the Competition Site and sent to the Competition judges for validation of scores and eligibility. Scores only apply to Round One and are not added to future scores in Round Two or Round Three. Only rankings will be posted. We will not post nor provide actual scores to Contestants or Instructors. Subject to the requirements of these Terms and Conditions, the Contestants in the top five scores with a score of 60% or higher from each academy will be deemed the Round One Selected Contestants and will be invited to continue on to participate in Round Two (Round Two Contestants). If there are less than five (5) Contestants in a participating academy who have scores of 60% or higher, then less than five (5) Contestants from that academy will advance to Round Two. If there are not any Contestants from a participating academy who have scores of 60% or higher, then no Contestants from that academy will advance to Round Two. Should any Round One Contestant selected to advance to Round Two be unable or unwilling to participate in Round Two for any reason and notify Sponsor via email that they forfeit the Competition, the Round One Contestant with the next highest Round One Performance Score (minimum 60% score) from that same academy may be identified as a replacement for Round Two. Round Two ScoringThe Round Two Exam is 100 questions and each question is valued at 1 point for a total of 100 points. The Round Two PT Activity Exam is 20 questions and each question is valued at 5 points for a total of 100 points. There are 200 total possible points for the Round Two. The Round Two Exam and Round Two PT Activity Exam will be automatically scored on the Competition Site. Scores will be tallied on the Competition Site and automatically sent to the Competition judges for validation. The Round Two Exam score and Round Two PT Activity Exam score will be added together to reach a Performance Score for each Round Two Contestant. Subject to the requirements of these Terms and Conditions, the Contestants with the top 15 scores with a score of 70% or higher will be deemed the Round Two Selected Contestants and will be invited to continue on to participate in Round Three (Round Three Contestants). If there are less than 15 Contestants in the entire Competition who have scores of 70% or higher in Round Two, then less than 15 Contestants will advance to Round Three. Only rankings will be posted. We will not post nor provide actual scores to Contestants or Instructors. Round Three ScoringThe Round Three Exam is 100 questions and each question is valued at 1 point for a total of 100 points. The Round Three Practical Exam is based on a Scoring Rubric that will be provided to Contestants 24 hours before their Assigned Round Three Exam Period. The scores from each Judge on the Round Three Judging Panel will be added together and then divided by the number of Judges to provide an average (Round Three Judging Average). The Round Three Exam will be automatically scored on the Competition Site. The Round Three Exam score will account for 60% and the Round Three Judging Average score will account for 40% to reach a Performance Score for each Round Three Contestant. This Round Three Performance Score will determine whether a Round Three Contestant is a prize winner. Only rankings will be posted. We will not post nor provide actual scores to Contestants or Instructors.Provided the requirements of these Terms and Conditions are otherwise satisfied, the Round Three Contestants with the top five (5) Performance Scores among the Contestants will be awarded prizes as outlined below in section 5, entitled Prizes for Round Three. Tie-Breaker Procedure In the event of a tie in Performance Scores between two or more Contestants in any Round of the Competition, the following tie-breaking criteria shall apply: 1. The Contestant with the higher PT Activity or File Exam score will be deemed the higher ranking Contestant as between tied Contestants; then2. The Contestant which completed the Exam in the faster time will be deemed the higher ranking Contestant as between tied Contestants. Round One Winner Notification ProcessContestants selected to advance to Round Two will be notified via email on Tuesday, 19 May 2015. Rankings will also be posted on the Competition page. Cisco is hereby entitled to announce or post on any Cisco website the full name, country and academy name of each Contestant selected to advance to Round Two. Round Two Winner Notification ProcessContestants selected to advance to Round Three will be notified via email on Friday, 5 June 2015. Rankings will also be posted on the Competition page. Cisco is hereby entitled to announce or post on any Cisco website the full name, country and academy name of each Contestant selected to advance to Round Three. Round Three Winner Notification ProcedureContestants of Round Three having the five highest Performance Scores (the Selected Winners) will be notified via email on or before Wednesday, 24 June 2015 and must complete a prize confirmation task as directed by such e-mail notification within 72 hours. The failure to respond timely to such notification may result, at Ciscos sole option, in forfeiture of the applicable prize; and, in such case, Cisco will choose the Round Three Contestant with the next highest Performance Score from among the remaining eligible scores as a Selected Winner. Each Selected Winner who is under 18 years of age will be required to have their parent or legal guardian sign and return a hard copy of the following Document for receipt by Cisco within the time(s) prescribed: Declaration of Eligibility, Publicity and Liability Release (no notarization required) Electronic copies of this signed document must be sent electronically to [email protected]. In addition, hard copies of this document with parent or legal guardian signature must be mailed and postmarked no later than 14 July 2015 for any Round Three winner who is under 18 years of age. Mailing instructions (both electronically and regular post) will be provided with the Documents. Except to the extent prohibited by law, each Contestant who wins the Study Trip Prize will be required to sign and return the following Documents for receipt by Cisco within the time(s) prescribed: Affidavit of Eligibility, Publicity and Liability Release (notarization required) Affidavits require the use of a notary public, apostille or equivalent official in the Selected Winners country of residence to certify the authenticity of signature. Documents (including such Affidavits) must be returned electronically to the address indicated by Cisco no later than 24 July 2015. The original copy must be mailed and Cisco must receive it by 24 August 2015. Non-trip prize Selected Winners 18 years of age or older are required to sign a Declaration of Eligibility, Publicity and Liability Release (no notarization required). These Declarations must be returned electronically to the address indicated by Cisco no later than 14 July 2015. Failure to return the above described documents within the times prescribed may result, in Ciscos sole option, in prize forfeiture, whereupon, Cisco shall have no further obligation with respect to such Contestant and may offer the prize to the next highest score. Cisco is entitled to announce publicly or post on any Cisco website (including, without limitation, the Competition Site) or Cisco Facebook pages the full name, academy name, state/province, and country of each Selected Winner. 5. Prizes for Round Three. Study Trip Prizes may only be won by a Contestant who is or will be 18 years of age by 31 December 2015. If a Selected Winner is under 18 years of age and will not become 18 years of age by 31 December 2015, they will forfeit the Study Trip Prize portion of their prize and Cisco will not offer any alternative prize or compensation in its place. And that Study Trip Prize will be awarded to the next highest score who also meets the age requirement for the Study Trip. First Place: The Selected Round Three Contestant with the highest Performance Score will win a Study Trip to San Jose, California, USA, from 10-16 January 2016 (Study Trip Prize). Full details of the Study Trip Prize are listed below. (ARV: US $2,500.00). Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Place: The Selected Round Three Contestants with the second, third, fourth, and fifth highest scores will receive the choice between a CCNA Routing and Switching Certification Voucher or a CCNA Security Certification Voucher (ARV: US $295.00). Certification Vouchers are non-transferable and will be valid for 12 months from the date of the final competition round which is 17 June 2015. Prize winners are not entitled to any surplus between actual retail value of prize and stated ARV and any difference between stated ARV and actual value of the prize will not be awarded. Prize winners are not entitled to substitute prizes or receive cash equivalents; however, Cisco reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value should the advertised prize become unavailable for any reason. Study Trip Prize Details: The Study Trip Prize includes the following: (1) round trip, economy airfare from the major airport closest to Contestants hometown within Turkey, Middle East and North Africa; (2) ground transportation to and from the designated arrival airport in California to hotel, from hotel to Cisco offices and for all Excursions; (3) single occupancy standard hotel accommodations for 6 nights (1015 January 2016); (4) meals as follows: dinner Sunday evening; breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday; and (5) the following excursions (Excursions): visit to Cisco Systems, Inc. campus; sight-seeing visit to San Francisco. All Excursions subject to availability. The approximate retail value of the Study Trip Prize is estimated at USD $2,500.00. Selected Contestants are solely responsible for any unspecified expenses related to the Study Trip Prize, including without limitation transportation, gratuities, optional or outside tours and excursions, gift-shop snack foods and beverages; incidental purchases, telephone, fax, and Internet-access charges, medical services, video and photo services, transfers, excess baggage charges, upgrades and any and all federal, state, and local taxes on prize, including special airport taxes and fees. In particular, Contestants should note the following reasons disqualification may occur: Failure to meet all eligibility requirements Failure to respond to email from Cisco requesting proof of eligibility, if required Failure to be currently/recently (within the last 10 months from the date registration opens) and validly enrolled in a level 3 or 4 Cisco Networking Academy CCNA Discovery, CCNA Exploration or CCNA Routing and Switching course Enrolls in more than one NetRiders competition this calendar year Opens the exams in more than one language Using external aids (except Engineer Journal used during exam Packet Tracer activity), including but not limited to books or websites, while taking the exams Copying or sharing of exam questions, answers, images or files Failure to complete the required task if selected to advance to Round Three Has a NetAcad Instructor or NetAcad Staff role in Cisco NetSpace or previously held an Instructor role in Academy Connection Works directly for Cisco or at Cisco through a third-party vendor Has previously won a NetRiders Study Trip Prize The Sponsor has the right, at any time and at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it suspects to be doing any of the following: (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of this Competition or the Website; (b) violating the Rules; (c) violating the terms of service, privacy policy or other terms, conditions of use and/or general rules or guidelines of any Competition property or service (d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person or (e) for any other good cause as determined solely by the Sponsor. If Sponsor believes a Contestant has enrolled in a course only to meet competition eligibility or an instructor has extended a course end date for that same purpose, that will not be considered a valid enrollment and may result in disqualification. Sponsor does not have to provide reasons for disqualification. Notice of disqualification may or may not be provided at Sponsors discretion. Sponsor has the right to lock out or remove an entrant whose eligibility is in question or who has been disqualified or is otherwise ineligible to participate in the Competition. 7. General Conditions. This Competition is void where prohibited or restricted by law, and is subject to applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws. By participating, Contestants agree: (i) to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (as they may be amended from time to time at Sponsors sole discretion) and the decisions of Sponsor and judges, which shall be final and binding; and (ii) to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Competition or these Terms and Conditions, except where prohibited by law. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of Contestants, and Contestants may be issued appropriate tax documentation for the ARV of any awarded prize. As such, Sponsor may provide a task on the Competition page for Contestants to Opt In on a list where their name and email may be provided to an internal Cisco team or a Cisco partner who is looking to hire top talent over the next 24 months. 9. Publicity. Sponsor reserves the right to use submissions and the Contestants names, ranking, likenesses from photos or video, academy name, state, province, country and hometown names for publicity purposes in connection with the Competition. Each Contestant understands and agrees that all or part of Contestants submission may potentially be posted or published by any of the Competition Entities for purposes of promoting the Competition, with or without credit to Contestant. 10. Rankings and Scores. Sponsor is hereby entitled (but not required) to announce or post on any Cisco website (including www.academynetriders.com) the full name, academy name, ranking and country of each Contestant who participated in the Competition. The number of rankings posted will vary per competition and per round if the Competition is held in more than one round. Only rankings will be posted. Le premier est un Examen thorique blanc, avec des questions choix multiples, trous et d'association. Il peut inclure un fichier Packet Tracer qui devra tre tlcharg et ouvert dans Packet Tracer, version 6.1.1 ou suprieure, mais ne ncessite aucune configuration. Le second examen est un Examen blanc sur une Activit PT dans le cadre duquel les participants tlchargent des fichiers Packet Tracer qu'ils configurent l'aide de Packet Tracer, version 6.1.1 ou suprieure, puis retournent sur le Site du Concours pour rpondre aux questions. Note : les rponses et les notes des Examens blancs ne figurent pas dans les notes du Concours. Ce Site d'exercice vise uniquement familiariser les Participants au Site du Concours, aux formats de questions et l'accs au site (y compris aux paramtres de pare-feu et de proxy, au chargement des images, etc.) et vrifier que Packet Tracer version 6.1.1 ou suprieure est bien install avant la Priode d'examen du Concours. 3. Priode d'examen du Concours. Le Concours est compos de trois Tours. Les Participants devront installer Packet Tracer version 6.1.1 ou suprieure sur l'ordinateur utilis. Vous pouvez tlcharger la dernire version de Packet Tracer gratuitement sur le site Cisco NetSpace l'adresse https://www.netacad.com/group/offerings/packet-tracer (aprs connexion). Vrifiez que vous pouvez participer aux trois Tours avant de vous inscrire au Concours. Tous les examens ou autres soumissions du Concours doivent avoir lieu aux dates et aux horaires indiqus par Cisco pour tre pris en compte. Les Participants doivent passer les examens suivants depuis l'un des sites dsigns. Ils devront se rendre au site qu'ils ont choisi lors de la tche de slection du site pendant la Priode d'inscription. Durant les dates de chaque tour, chaque Participant doit tre surveill pendant qu'il effectue les tches suivantes durant leur Priode d'examen assigne. Pendant la Priode d'examen du Concours, les Participants prennent part un maximum de trois Tours d'examens et activits pratiques (chacun tant dnomm un Tour ), tel que dcrit ci-dessous. A. Premier Tour : tous les Participants du Premier Tour doivent ouvrir et passer les Examens du Premier Tour le mercredi 6 mai 2015 aux heures dsignes pour le site qu'ils ont choisi durant la Priode d'inscription. ( Priode d'examen assigne pour le Premier Tour ). Le Premier Tour sera compos des lments suivants : un examen en ligne comprenant 90 questions auxquelles il faut rpondre en 60 minutes ( Examen du Premier Tour ) etun Examen sur l'activit PT portant sur des comptences pratiques ( Examen sur l'activit PT du Premier Tour ) comprenant 15 questions sur une activit Packet Tracer 6.1.1 que les Participants doivent tlcharger partir du Site du Concours ( Activit PT du Premier Tour ) et accomplir. L'Activit PT du Premier Tour et l'Examen sur l'Activit PT du Premier Tour doivent tre tous deux effectus en 60 minutes. Le temps sera comptabilis ds que vous accderez l'Examen sur l'Activit PT du Premier Tour. L'Activit PT du Premier Tour sera intgre l'Examen sur l'Activit PT du Premier Tour. Durant votre Priode d'examen assigne et sous la surveillance d'un instructeur Networking Academy ou d'un employ Cisco, les Participants doivent se connecter au Site du Concours l'aide de leurs informations de connexion Cisco NetSpace afin de passer les Examens du Premier Tour dans le dlai imparti. Les Participants auront besoin d'un mot de passe d'examen (le Mot de passe ) pour accder chaque examen. Les Mots de passe d'examen du Premier Tour seront fournis par le surveillant chaque site. Ds qu'un Participant tape un mot de passe d'examen et l'envoie, l'examen devient actif et le minuteur commence le dcompte du temps imparti. Les Participants ne peuvent concourir que dans une langue, l'activation d'un examen dans plusieurs langues constitue donc un motif de disqualification mme si le Participant ne rpond aucune des questions de l'un des examens. Une fois qu'un Participant ouvre un examen, le dcompte commence et vous ne pouvez pas mettre cet examen en pause. Les Participants peuvent aller et venir entre les pages des questions en appuyant sur le bouton Save without submitting (enregistrer sans envoyer). Les Participants peuvent modifier leurs rponses jusqu' ce qu'ils cliquent sur le bouton Save all and finish (tout enregistrer et terminer) avant la fin du dcompte. L'Activit PT du Deuxime Tour et l'Examen sur l'Activit PT du Deuxime Tour doivent tre tous deux effectus en 90 minutes au total. Le fait de ne pas accomplir cette tche la date indique est un motif de disqualification et Cisco peut choisir le Participant ayant obtenu la meilleure note suivante pour concourir au Troisime Tour. Troisime Tour : tous les Participants du Troisime Tour disposeront d'une tranche de deux heures le mercredi 17 juin 2015 aux heures dsignes qui seront assignes aux Participants aprs le Deuxime Tour. ( Priode d'examen assigne pour le Troisime Tour ). Le Troisime Tour sera compos des lments suivants : un examen en ligne comprenant 100 questions auxquelles il faut rpondre en 60 minutes maximum ( Examen du Troisime Tour ) etun Examen de comptences pratiques ( Examen pratique du Troisime Tour ) comprenant trois cinq questions sur un fichier Packet Tracer avec un rseau complt ( Fichier PT du Troisime Tour ). Les Participants recevront un e-mail contenant des instructions, une grille de notation et le fichier PT du Troisime Tour 24 heures avant leur Priode d'examen assigne pour le Troisime Tour. Les instructions et la grille de notation seront uniquement transmises dans les langues officielles du Concours. Les Participants seront tenus de rejoindre une session Cisco WebEx pendant 15 minutes et apparatront en vido devant un jury compos de trois cinq juges. Le jury posera des questions au Participant concernant la rsolution de problmes partir des instructions et du Fichier PT du Troisime Tour qu'il a reus. Durant votre Priode d'examen assigne et sous la surveillance d'un instructeur Networking Academy ou d'un employ Cisco, les Participants doivent se connecter au Site du Concours l'aide de leurs informations de connexion Cisco NetSpace afin de passer l'Examen du Troisime Tour dans le dlai imparti. Sous rserve des critres tablis ci-dessous la Section 4 ( Jury et notification ), les cinq Participants du Troisime Tour ayant obtenu les meilleures notes parmi tous les Participants du Troisime Tour remplissant les conditions requises seront considrs comme les Participants du Troisime Tour slectionns et remporteront l'un des prix indiqus la Section 5 ( Prix du Troisime Tour ). Seuls les classements seront publis. Nous ne publierons pas les notes elles-mmes et nous ne les fournirons pas aux Participants ou aux Instructeurs. Accs en ligne. Dans tous les Tours du Concours, les Examens, les Activits PT et les Examens d'activit PT sont uniquement disponibles en ligne. Si l'accs en ligne n'est pas disponible, quel qu'en soit le motif, les Participants n'auront pas le droit de recevoir une note ou d'avancer dans le Concours. Nonobstant toute disposition contraire des prsentes, Cisco ne peut pas garantir un accs en ligne pour tous les Participants. Cisco n'est en aucun cas tenu de fournir un substitut hors ligne un quelconque test ou une quelconque activit. Cisco encourage vivement les Participants utiliser les navigateurs Mozilla Firefox ou Internet Explorer lorsqu'ils accdent aux examens du Concours. Notifications par e-mail de la part de Cisco : dans le cadre du Concours, les Participants recevront des e-mails de la part de Cisco contenant les conditions requises, des rappels concernant leur participation un Tour du Concours, les mots de passe d'examen du Deuxime Tour et du Troisime Tour ainsi que les instructions relatives, la notification de la progression et des rappels des tches accomplir ou des informations fournir. De plus, afin d'amliorer la qualit du programme NetRiders, Cisco peut envoyer une enqute une fois par an jusqu' trois ans aprs la participation d'un Participant un concours NetRiders. Tout e-mail de la part de Cisco sera envoy l'adresse associe au compte NetSpace du Participant au moment de l'inscription au Concours. Litiges. En cas de litige important concernant la validit d'une question ou de la rponse correspondante d'un Examen ou d'un Examen sur une Activit PT, et la discrtion exclusive de Cisco, tous les Participants peuvent tre crdits du total des points de cette question, quelle que soit la rponse fournie. Les Participants peuvent envoyer toute rclamation, question ou remarque [email protected]. Les rclamations portant sur une question ou une activit doivent tre transmises dans un dlai de deux heures compter de la fin de l'Examen/Activit pour tre prises en considration. Les dcisions de Cisco concernant les rclamations, litiges ou autres questions sont dfinitives et sans appel. Soumissions. Les soumissions doivent tre reues en fonction du fuseau horaire du Sponsor au plus tard aux dates et aux horaires indiqus dans les prsentes Conditions gnrales ou dans les notifications envoyes aux Participants. L'horloge du Sponsor sera le dispositif de chronomtrage officiel de ce Concours. Aucune remise par courrier, en mains propres ou par e-mail ne sera accepte, sauf disposition expresse des prsentes Conditions gnrales. Aucune des Entits du Concours n'est responsable des inscriptions tardives, perdues, retardes, endommages, mal adresses, incompltes, vides, corrompues, altres, illisibles et/ou intelligibles ou d'un quelconque problme ou des dysfonctionnements dont les Participants pourraient faire l'objet au moment de la soumission de leurs inscriptions ou notes. Seuls les inscriptions et relevs de notes complets et valides (collectivement les soumissions ) seront accepts. Le Sponsor ne confirmera pas la rception des inscriptions ou des notes. Les soumissions incompltes, altres, corrompues ou illisibles tout autre titre sont nulles et ne seront pas acceptes. Le Sponsor se rserve le droit de disqualifier de fausses soumissions ou des soumissions suspectes d'tre fausses. Le Sponsor se rserve le droit de disqualifier toute soumission pour laquelle une tricherie ou un partage des questions, rponses, images ou fichiers d'un examen sont suspects. Jury et notification.Notes du Premier TourL'Examen du Premier Tour est compos de 90 questions et chaque question vaut 1 point pour un total de 90 points. Il est possible d'obtenir un total de 180 points pour le Premier Tour. L'Examen du Premier Tour et l'Examen sur l'Activit PT du Premier Tour seront automatiquement nots sur le Site du Concours. Les notes des examens du Premier Tour seront comptabilises sur le Site du Concours et envoyes au jury du Concours qui validera les notes et l'ligibilit. Les notes ne s'appliquent qu'au Premier Tour et ne sont pas ajoutes aux notes futures du Deuxime Tour ou du Troisime Tour. Seuls les classements seront publis. Nous ne publierons pas les notes elles-mmes et nous ne les fournirons pas aux Participants ou aux Instructeurs.Sous rserve des critres des prsentes Conditions gnrales, les Participants ayant obtenu les cinq meilleures notes, avec 60 % ou plus, dans chaque acadmie seront considrs comme les Participants du Premier Tour slectionns et seront invits avancer pour participer au Second Tour ( Participants du Second Tour ). Si moins de cinq (5) Participants d'une acadmie participante obtiennent des notes de 60 % ou plus, alors moins de cinq (5) Participants de cette acadmie avanceront au Deuxime Tour. Si aucun Participant d'une acadmie participante n'obtient des scores de 60 % ou plus, alors aucun Participant de cette acadmie n'avancera au Deuxime Tour. Si un Participant du Premier Tour slectionn pour le Deuxime Tour ne peut ou ne souhaite plus participer au Deuxime Tour pour une quelconque raison et informe le Sponsor par e-mail qu'il abandonne le Concours, le Participant du Premier Tour qui a obtenu le meilleur score suivant au Premier Tour (au moins 60 %) de cette mme acadmie pourra tre identifi comme son remplaant pour le Deuxime Tour. Notes du Deuxime TourL'Examen du Deuxime Tour est compos de 100 questions et chaque question vaut 1 point pour un total de 100 points. L'Examen sur l'Activit PT du Deuxime Tour est compos de 20 questions et chaque question vaut 5 points pour un total de 100 points. Il est possible d'obtenir un total de 200 points pour le Deuxime Tour. L'Examen du Deuxime Tour et l'Examen sur l'Activit PT du Deuxime Tour seront automatiquement nots sur le Site du Concours. Les notes des examens du Premier Tour seront comptabilises sur le Site du Concours et automatiquement envoyes au jury du Concours qui les validera. La note de l'Examen du Deuxime Tour et celle de l'Examen sur l'Activit PT du Deuxime Tour seront additionnes afin d'obtenir une Note de performance pour chaque Participant du Deuxime Tour. Sous rserve des critres des prsentes Conditions gnrales, les Participants ayant obtenu les 15 meilleures notes, avec 70 % ou plus, seront considrs comme les Participants du Deuxime Tour slectionns et seront invits avancer pour participer au Troisime Tour (les Participants du Troisime Tour ). Si moins de 15 Participants au Concours dans son ensemble obtiennent des notes de 70 % ou plus au Deuxime Tour, alors moins de 15 Participants avanceront au Troisime Tour. Seuls les classements seront publis. Nous ne publierons pas les notes elles-mmes et nous ne les fournirons pas aux Participants ou aux Instructeurs. Notes du Troisime TourL'Examen du Troisime Tour est compos de 100 questions et chaque question vaut 1 point pour un total de 100 points. L'Examen pratique du Troisime Tour repose sur une grille d'valuation qui sera fournie aux Participants 24 heures avant la Priode d'examen assigne pour le Troisime Tour. Les notes de chaque Juge du Jury du Troisime Tour seront additionnes puis divises par le nombre de Juges afin d'obtenir une moyenne (la Moyenne du Jury du Troisime Tour ). L'Examen du Troisime Tour sera automatiquement not sur le Site du Concours. La note de l'Examen du Troisime Tour comptera pour 60 % et la note de la Moyenne du Jury du Troisime Tour comptera pour 40 % de la Note de performance de chaque Participant du Troisime Tour. Cette Note de performance du Troisime Tour dterminera si un Participant du Troisime Tour a remport un prix. Seuls les classements seront publis. Nous ne publierons pas les notes elles-mmes et nous ne les fournirons pas aux Participants ou aux Instructeurs. Sous rserve que les critres des prsentes Conditions gnrales soient remplis, les Participants du Troisime Tour ayant obtenu les cinq (5) meilleures Notes de performance parmi les Participants recevront les prix indiqus ci-dessous la Section 5, Prix du Troisime Tour . Procdure de dpartage En cas d'galit entre les Notes de performance de deux Participants ou plus au cours d'un Tour du Concours, les critres de dpartage suivants s'appliqueront : 1. Le Participant ayant la note d'Examen sur fichier ou sur l'Activit PT la plus haute sera considr comme le Participant le mieux class entre les Participants ex quo ; puis2. le Participant qui a termin l'Examen le plus rapidement sera considr comme le Participant le mieux class entre les Participants ex quo. Processus de notification des gagnants du Premier Tour Les Participants slectionns pour avancer au Deuxime Tour seront notifis par e-mail le mardi 19 mai 2015. Les classements seront galement publis sur la page du Concours. Cisco est autoris par la prsente annoncer ou publier sur un quelconque site Web de Cisco le nom complet, le pays et le nom de l'acadmie de chaque Participant slectionn pour avancer au Deuxime Tour. Processus de notification des gagnants du Deuxime Tour Les Participants slectionns pour avancer au Troisime Tour seront notifis par e-mail le vendredi 5 juin 2015. Les classements seront galement publis sur la page du Concours. Cisco est autoris par la prsente annoncer ou publier sur un quelconque site Web de Cisco le nom complet, le pays et le nom de l'acadmie de chaque Participant slectionn pour avancer au Troisime Tour. Processus de notification des gagnants du Troisime Tour Les Participants du Troisime Tour ayant obtenu les cinq meilleures Notes de performance (les Gagnants slectionns ) seront notifis par e-mail au plus tard le mercredi 24 juin 2015 et doivent accomplir une tche de confirmation du prix selon les instructions contenues dans ladite notification par e-mail dans un dlai de 72 heures. Le fait de ne pas rpondre en temps utile ladite notification peut entraner, la discrtion exclusive de Cisco, la perte du prix concern et, dans un tel cas, Cisco choisira le Participant du Troisime Tour ayant obtenu la meilleure Note de performance suivante parmi les notes restantes ligibles comme Gagnant slectionn. Chaque Gagnant slectionn de moins de 18 ans devra demander un parent ou tuteur de signer et de renvoyer une copie papier du Document suivant, que Cisco devra recevoir dans les dlais prescrits : Dclaration d'ligibilit, de publicit et d'exonration de responsabilit (acte notari facultatif) Les copies lectroniques de ce document sign doivent tre envoyes par voie lectronique [email protected]. En outre, les copies papier de ce document comportant la signature du parent ou tuteur doivent tre adresses par courrier au plus tard le 14 juillet 2015, cachet de la poste faisant foi, pour tous les gagnants du Troisime Tour gs de moins de 18 ans.
