Cisnadie.

This is a town near Sibiu Country , aproximately 10 km . Cisnadioara is a village administrated by this town . In Cisnădie, there are the SC Pralin SRL, the chocolate factory of Florin Balan. The most important architectural sight of Cisnădie is the fortified complex located in the town center. Originally built in the 12th century as a Romanesque basilica, the church was fortified during the 15th century, to protect the local population of Saxons against repeated Ottoman raids.

Cisnadioara

The town, Cisnadie administrates the village Cisnadioara, which is a total beauty. The sights are amazing for a vacation with your family. I have been there and it was an experience that i will never forget.

The village is known for the famous organization of the cultural events, but also for the turist atractions. You can find here the oldest functioning organ in Romania .

This village has an amazing spot for camping which is called “Pinapple”. I sat there while i was in my vacantion and it has some gorgeous cabans . You can also park your trailer there if you don’t want to rent a caban.

The camping complex has 7 cabans for people with low buget. A caban for 2 persons costs 10-12 euro/night and one caban for 4 persons is 20 euro/night . The sanitar conditions were great , the bathroom is divided in two parts , one for the shower and one for the toilets . The kitchen is totally functional and it’s situated outside, you can cook on a stove or on a wooden fire.

I totally recomand to stay in this place if you visit.

Evangelical Church

As for visiting places there are three must seen , that you have to notice. One is the Evangelical Church , the Fortified church and the local museum.

The Fortified church is situated to the top of a hill , and is the most representative of the roman style in Transilvania. It was build between 1172 and 1223. The monumet is known for the amazing acoustic , being a great place and host for concerts ,theatre and expositions.

The Evangelical church is situated in the centre of the village .

Antilope.

The local museum exposes ceramic pots, soft goods,wood,showing a vast popular art of Transilvania by the painted furniture . In 2007 when Sibiu was the Capital of Europe , Cisnadioara Museum was included in the cultural tour promoting the values of romanians and our cultural legacies.

Cisnadioara is a must seen for those who like outdoors , nature , spending time with their family or just taking a road towards adventure.

“The view“

I am a person who likes to visit a lot , especially if it’s something about my cultural values. Outdoors it’s the best place for expositions or museums. After spending my time in the lovely town of Cisnadie , me and my family went to Sibiu. There we visit the city and the Farmaceutical Museum and the Metropolitan Cathedral . Near Sibiu it’s an outdoor museum , called Astra .

The museum currently has over 400 monuments of folk architecture and technique as well as an impressive collection of ethnographic heritage objects. The collection of mills, the wooden churches, and the traditional homesteads are very popular and very much appreciated. Conceived as a living museum, it hosts many traditional events such as: traditional fairs, folk festivals, workshops, performances and much more. The traditional function is kept for the wooden churches where all religious ceremonies specific to Romanian tradition are regularly performed. The exceptional natural landscape makes the open air museum adequate during both summer and winter, for educational visits, relaxing walks, drives by carriage, sleigh or sailing, according to everyone`s taste.
