Reference: Resolution No. 19-57 In 1984 the Council Aide program, now called the Council Executive Assistant (CEA) program, was established to assist the Mayor and members of the City Council with their duties of office. Council Executive Assistants perform a wide variety of highly responsible administrative, community relations, and field support duties under the direct supervision and administrative oversight of his or her respective appointing member of the City Council. The policies and procedures were updated in 2019 as approved in Resolution 19-57. Resolution 19- 57 also approved the updated job specification for a Council Executive Assistant. The Resolution and job description are attached, reflecting the Policies and Procedures of the Council Executive Assistant Program. In 1984 the Council Aide program, now called the Council Executive Assistant (CEA) program, was established to assist the Mayor and members of the City Council with their duties of office. Council Executive Assistants perform a wide variety of highly responsible administrative, community relations, and field support duties under the direct supervision and administrative oversight of his or her respective appointing member of the City Council. The policies and procedures were updated in 2019 as approved in Resolution 19-57. Resolution 19-57 also approved the updated job specification for a Council Executive Assistant.
