1 CITY OF CRESTWOOD BOARD OF ALDERMEN REGULAR MEETING Tuesday October 23, 2018 7:00 P.M. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Crestwood met at the Government Center on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. Acting Mayor, Tony Kennedy, led everyone in the pledge of allegiance. Roll Call: On roll call, the following members were present: Acting Mayor/President of the Board Tony Kennedy Alderman Richard Breeding Alderman Mimi Duncan Alderman Mary Stadter arrived 7:12 PM Alderman Justin Charboneau absent, excused Alderman Grant Mabie Alderman Jerry Miguel Alderman Ismaine Ayouaz Staff present: City Administrator, Kris Simpson Director of Public Services, Jim Gillam City Attorney, Brian Malone City Clerk, Helen Ingold Police Chief, Ron Compton Assistant Fire Chief, Lou Hecht Finance Officer, Don Guilfoy City Planner, Adam Jones Presentations, Communications and Appointments Resolution # 18-11 Honoring the Retirement of Fire Chief David Oliveri Acting Mayor Kennedy read Resolution #18-11 (Exhibit A) and presented it to Fire Chief David Oliveri. A round of applause followed. Motion to adopt Resolution # 18-11 honoring the retirement of Fire Chief David Oliveri: Alderman Mabie. Second: Alderman Breeding. On voice vote, motion passed. Public Comment John Sebbens, 9675 Yorkshire, approached the lectern and thanked Acting Mayor Kennedy for attending the St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society’s Trivia Night. On behalf of the St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society, Mr. Sebbens presented the City with an honorary membership. He noted the City of Crestwood has historic connections to rock music. Derrick Standley, Meridian Waste Services, approached the lectern and acknowledged service issues have occurred. He noted Meridian Waste Services had extended their customer service hours. He noted Mr. Gillam had been diligent in trying to address issues. He expressed a commitment to improving services. Alderman Breeding asked why the issues seemed so hit or miss. Mr. Stanley said various factors were impacting the quality of services. Robert Miller, 8915 West Haven Ct., approached the lectern and said he and his neighbors were happy with Meridian’s services. He blamed too many cars at residences for the cause of neighborhood congestion. Mayor, Board of Aldermen, and City Administrator Reports and/or Comments Alderman Breeding said the Fire Board had met last night. They learned about two new programs: Project Life Saver and MO-HOPE Project, both presented by Lieutenant Nick Hill. Alderman Duncan said she attended the event Lindbergh Schools held for elected leaders at the new administration building. She noted the new superintendent gave a positive impression. Also, Alderman Duncan complimented a couple of updated properties in her neighborhood that were no longer code enforcement issues.

The Board of Aldermen of the City of Crestwood met at the Government Center on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. Acting Mayor, Tony Kennedy, led everyone in the pledge of allegiance.

Resolution # 18-11 Honoring the Retirement of Fire Chief David Oliveri

Acting Mayor Kennedy read Resolution #18-11 (Exhibit A) and presented it to Fire Chief David Oliveri. A round of applause followed.

Motion to adopt Resolution # 18-11 honoring the retirement of Fire Chief David Oliveri: Alderman Mabie. Second: Alderman Breeding. On voice vote, motion passed.

Public Comment

John Sebbens, 9675 Yorkshire, approached the lectern and thanked Acting Mayor Kennedy for attending the St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society’s Trivia Night.
