Response to Vendor Inquires
City of Prosser
City Hall and Police Department Abatement (Project No. 2021-19PW)
The city is providing the responses below to inquiries
received.
1. Can you identify what contents need to be collected? a. The
successful bidder will work with the insurance company to allow for
the inventory
of contents in the police department. Additionally, some records
will need to be retrieved from the police department and the
successful bidder with coordinate those efforts with Belfor.
Otherwise, the remaining contents will be disposed of by the
successful bidder.
2. What is the plan for all the contents in city hall? Are we to
plan on removing these and disposing of them or will they be
handled before the project starts?
a. The successful bidder will be responsible for the disposal of
property. 3. Do you have a quantity for the mold abatement?
a. There is no know mold at this time, only the potential for it as
the roof is open to the elements and may become an issue during the
wetter months of the year until the roof overframing is
completed.
4. Can the contract time be extended? We do not feel 30 days is
enough for the multiple scopes of work.
a. Please see Addendum No. 1 5. How will you be handling bad
weather days?
a. If bad weather arises, the City will evaluate the day and if the
City determines that these days are considered unworkable then the
day will be added to the end of the completion date as noted in
Addendum No. 1
6. Is the boiler being removed or just the pipe insulation around
the boiler? a. The boiler will remain. Only the pipe insulation
around the boiler should be removed.
7. Where does the temp roof repair sketch occur? Where it seems to
be indicated, the second floor above the garage will be demoed
completely will it not? If so the “existing roof” in the sketch
will no longer be there.
a. The temporary overframe detail occurs over the “Conference Room”
and “Archive Storage” on the floor plan. The second floor above the
garage is located on the opposite side of the conference room and
is not labeled on the floor plan.
8. Has a survey been done on where and what types of asbestos there
is? a. Please see attached Exhibit E
