Come out to Schrock Park July 4th to watch the dazzling fireworks display that begins at dark! There’s sure to be fun for the whole family! The City Council previously amended ordinances allowing the discharge of fireworks within Tuttle City Limits. You will be able to shoot your fireworks from 2:00 pm–10:00 pm, June 30th until July 4th. As always, a responsible adult must be present at all times to supervise any children. Please observe any Burn Ban notices, practice safe handling of fireworks and have fun! Firework Celebrations To many a pet lover, your cuddly friend is another member of the family. Help protect those furry loved ones by ensuring an ID tag is worn on their collar at all times. If your beloved pet happens to get loose or jump the fence, an ID tag can help us quickly identify Fido’s family and home. If you have lost a pet, please be sure to check the City of Tuttle Facebook page to see if your pet has found refuge at our animal shelter. Our quarterly bulk-trash pick-up is scheduled for June 12th, for residents north of HWY 37, and June 19th for residents south of HWY 37. Residents may set up to 3 cubic yards out curb- side. Please do not block the street. Restrictions: Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners are accepted pro- vided the Freon has been properly drained by a qualified technician, certification issued and placed on the unit. All pools 24-inches deep within Tuttle city limits must be surrounded by at least a 48-inch high fence, with a lockable gate or include other mechanisms, such an ASTM-F 1346-rated safety pool cover, preventing accidental access however a fence is the preferred safety measure.

All pools are also prohibited from being constructed or erected in front of the building line, i.e. in a front yard.

The Tuttle Chamber of Commerce will be holding a public Candidates Forum on Friday, June 15, 2012. The forum will begin at seven o’clock in the evening and will last two hours.

The forum will be held at the Snow Hill Baptist Church, 11 S. Morgan Rd, Tuttle, OK

Federal, State and County Candidates have been invited to participate.

The purpose of this forum is to give candidates for office an opportunity to address a wide range of issues that affect community sustainability and livability in our area.

The Candidates will be allowed a 10 minute speech with a question and answer period following.

Written Question must be submitted to the Tuttle Are Chamber of Commerce no later than Monday June 11. The questions will be reviewed by an impartial panel to assure fairness. Each Candidate will be allowed one minute to respond.

Mow ing Season The City of Tuttle is committed to maintaining qual-ity neighborhoods and an excellent community envi-ronment. Our citizens expect us to do everything we can in this regard. We know that this can only be achieved through the cooperation of everyone in-volved.

City Ordinances require yards to be mowed and maintained on a regular basis throughout the growing season. Grass and weeds cannot exceed 12 inches in height. There ’s a Rodeo Comin’ to Tow n! The Rafter D. Rodeo Co. will hold an open rodeo with the Tuttle Roundup Club at the Schrock Park Arena Thursday, August 2nd through Saturday the 4th, starting at 8 pm. Events include bronco riding, team roping, bull roping, calf roping, ribbon roping, double mugging, and barrel racing. Children’s events include a calf scramble and mutton busting. The three-day event includes drill teams, singers, and other live entertainment. A raffle will be held Satur-day to win a rodeo saddle. To enter any of the events, please call Rafter D.
