    Whilst most taxes are generally included in the room rates, there are a few exceptions to this rule.

    These exceptions are detailed below. We are unable to include these taxes in our rates and all

    passengers must pay these locally directly to the hotel.

    The information provided below is for guidance only.

    Frauenkirchen, Austria

    -Frauenkirchen.

    This measure was approved by the Frauenkirchen City Council in an effort to generate additional

    revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fee is as

    follows:

    - 1.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT

    Children under 14 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

    Please note: This tax is to be paid by the GUESTS directly at the hotel before the end of the stay.

    Kaprun, Austria

    -Kaprun.

    This measure was approved by the Kaprun City Council in an effort to generate additional revenue

    On 1st February 2000, the city of Sanya in China introduced a new city tax. This tax is levied on

    all visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen.

    This measure was approved by the Sanya City Council in an effort to generate additional revenue

    for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as follows:

    - 11.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5 star hotels

    - 9.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 4 star hotels

    - 6.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 3 star hotels

  • - 5% OF NET ROOM RATE PER NIGHT excluding breakfast and VAT

    Guests visiting Berlin on business will be exempt from paying this tax (proof will be required at

    check-in).

    Bookings made prior to 1 January 2014 will be exempt.

    Bremen, Germany

    From 1st April 2012, the cities of Bremen and Bremerhaven in Germany are introducing a new

    city tax. This tax is levied on all visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen.

    Please note that it will be compulsory for GUESTS to pay the charges below.

    This measure was approved by the Bremen City Council in an effort to generate additional

    revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as

    follows:

    - 3.21 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5 and 4 star hotels

    - 2.14 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 3, 2 and 1 star hotels

    Children under 18 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

    Dresden, Germany

    From 1st February 2014, the city of Dresden in Germany is introducing a new city tax. The fee is

    The tax will not be applied for:

    Children under 18 years

    Patients who are staying in Dresden for therapy

    Guests visiting Dresden on business (proof will be required at check-in)

    Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany

    night (charged up to 5 nights)

    - 1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in hotels charging from 1 to 30.99 per person per

    night (charged up to 5 nights)

    On 12th September 2011, Catania in Italy introduced a new city tax. This tax is levied on all

    visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen, with the exception of hostels and camp

    sites.

    Please note that it will be compulsory for PASSENGERS to pay the charges below.

    This measure was approved by the Catania City Council in an effort to generate additional revenue

    for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as follows:

  • - 2.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5 star hotels (charged up to 3 nights)

    - 1.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 4 and 3 star hotels (charged up to 3 nights)

    - 1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 2 and 1 star hotels (charged up to 3 nights)

    Children under 18 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

    The tax will not be applied for:

    Children under 18 years

    Guests staying more than 3 days - the tax wont apply from the 4th night onwards

    Disabled guests and their companion (two persons excluded per disabled guest)

    Patients who are staying in Catania for therapy and their companion (two persons excluded per

    patient). Medical certification required.

    University students and those visiting Catania on academic projects and cultural exchanges

    through schools and universities

    Tour guides and coach drivers (1 in every 25 passengers in a group)

    Courmayeur, Italy

    -Courmayeur, Italy. The fees are as follows:

    - 2.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 100.01 to 200

    - 1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 70.01 to 100

    - 0.80 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 40.01 to 70

    Mogliano Veneto, Italy

    From 1st September 2012, the city of Mogliano Veneto in Italy is introducing a new city tax. This

    tax is levied on all visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen.

    Please note that it will be compulsory for GUESTS to pay the charges below.

    This measure was approved by the Mogliano Veneto City Council in an effort to generate

    additional revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The

    fees are as follows:

    - 1.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5 star hotels (charged up to 7 nights)

    - 1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 4 and 3 star hotels (charged up to 7 nights)

    - 0.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 2 and 1 star hotels (charged up to 7 nights)

    The tax will not be applied for:

    Children under 14 years

    Disabled guests (medical certification required) and their companion (one person excluded per

    disabled guest)

    Tour guides and coach drivers

    Police and Fire brigade (if in service)

    From 1st August 2012, the city of Verona in Italy is introducing a new city tax. This tax is levied

    on all visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen.

    This measure was approved by the Verona City Council in an effort to generate additional revenue

    for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as follows:

    - 3.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5 star hotels (charged up to 5 nights)

    - 2.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 4 star hotels (charged up to 5 nights)

    - 1.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 3 star hotels (charged up to 5 nights)
