switzerlandOne-year exercise of analysis and proposal for Morges, a
city of 15,000 inhab-itants, which in the 1960s was divided by the
construction of a crossing railroad, due to a political decision
based on individual interests. The rapid urban growth in the next
40 years had aggravated the problem of connectivity within the
city. The exercise was part of a real research project for
repairing the territory.

residence in a real site currently unoccupied, located in a part of
downtown Madrid consolidated in the 1980s. The exercise was
regarded as an opportunity to colonize a decayed area through an
invasive architectural typology.

one of the main building typologies carried out in Arx arquitectos
(others where schools or hospitals). They have already built two,
have one under construction and are currently working on the
working project of a new one. During my work period, I participate
in different parts of the process of three of them.

takes over 1-2 years. It is mandatory to have an architectural
tutor [Jesus San Vicente], and optional to have others [Fernando
Ingls for Building Science, Jose L. F. Cabo for Structures]. The
program and its location is imposed by the architectural tutor.
Exercise should resolve Urban Planning, Landscape, Architectural
Design, Structures and Infrastructures.

Arquitectos is an architectural studio that works primarily for
public companies, which means that projects are obtained through
competition. This project was thought for Vallecas, a suburb of
Madrid which is being built under experimental approaches in
planning and building.

project for bilbao, spainVeolia Transportes is responsible for the
public transport network in Bilbao. They wanted to present to the
City Council the proposal of a lane for bus use only. Thus I worked
with them as technician, projecting the materialization of this
lane and producing the documents necessary to present the proposal
to evaluation.

line will be built from Pearson Airport to Union Station, with a
stop at Dundas Street West. The project is to locate a
transportation hub to connect this line with the other transport
networks, and moreover to defi ne how this new element may
transform its surroundings; in other words, to design a future for
the area. The aim is to create an active core around the
transportation hub benefi ting from the hub potential, but which
ultimately will provide the necessary infrastructure to encourage a
subsequent renovation of the whole neighbourhood.

student design competition for reorganizing the waterfront of
philadelphia, usFour-month exercise of analysis and proposal. The
district of Embajadores is right next to the city center, and yet
has a very suburban character because of its arrangement of urban
forms. The exercise sought to recognize the elements that caused
this effect and redirect its character towards a more public use,
introducing new housing.
