Approval

Our FFP2 NR D-class Particle-Filter Partial Face Masks tested by British Standards Institution (BSI), an independent and notified body of European Union with no 0086, and entitled to CE certification for EN 149:2001+A1:2009 standard meet the main health and safety requirements set out in 89/686/EEC which is the relevant EU directive.

BET Surface Analysis Tests of the Activated Carbon fabric were performed in the Central Laboratory of Bulent Ecevit University.

GENERAL PROPERTIES OF PRODUCT • They effectively filter the Ozone Gas that arises during MIG, TIG and ARC welding works. They considerably mitigates the negative effect of the odours.

• Exclusive performance masks which easily put up resistance to all kinds of hot and cold challenging and adverse working environments owing to the plastic net on their outer layer.

• They are uttermostly resistant to collapse and deformations. They do not loss their form characteristic even when a vehicle passes over them. (PICTURE 1)

• They have fabulously low breathing in and breathing out resistance owing to the pleated and waved bloated structure. In spite of this, the same structure offers extraordinary filtering power.

• Their structure designed so as to be easily attuned to different nose structures eliminates the need for using extra nose clips and making compactness adjustment. Their usage is uttermostly convenient.

• The head bands are skin-friendly. The flexibility and retraction

balance is supported with the special folding-adjustable hairclip.

• The Adjustment Hairclip is all-purpose and comfortable with its folding-adjustable feature. Thanks to this feature, it allows making compactness adjustment suitable for every face and hanging the mask onto your neck when you do not use it. (PICTURE 2)

• In the comfort models, the sost sealing ring on the interior surfa-ce crowns the tightness on various faces and the comfort sense. It is composed of three special layers and offers very superior comfort with extra absorbing viscose fabric which is elegant for the skin and which offers comfort, polyurethane sponge with special sostness and its porous structure between the viscose fabric, and nonvowen mat enclosing sweat and moisture at the lower layer. (PICTURE 3)

• The sealed area formed in the nose part of the MFA Super Series active carbon masks reduces the problem of steam on the eyeglass to zero when the mask is worn correctly. It provides the most effective solution to the steam formation which is the biggest problem of the eyeglass users. It is suitable for use in all eyeglas-ses.

• Our protective filters that we use in the masks reveal magnificent performance. The low breathing in and breathing out resistance is immediately felt by the users owing to its special fibrous structure which is formed by spraying at micron dimension.

• The MFA Super Series “S Series” Active Carbon Masks have high performance much above the values required by the standard. The dust filter and active carbon filter placed as pleated and floaty inside the outer layer with Plastic Net reveal brilliant results.

• The low breathing in and breathing out resistance is immediately felt by the users owing to its special fibrous structure which is formed by spraying at micron dimension. Our special air fibrous and electrostatic filter do not allow the transition of particles. (PICTURE 4)

• It is suitable for working with eyeglass. It does not form steam on the eyeglass.

WHY ACTIVATED CARBON?Activated Carbons are products with high porosity and large inner surface area as well as many areas of usage, which are not hazardous on human health. Activated Carbons are currently used for various purposes in various sectors. For commercial purposes, activated carbons are derived by processing and activating wood, peat, lignite, coal, charco-al, bone, coconut shells, risk husk, nutshells or oil produ-cts.

Inner surface (activated surface) of an activated carbon is typically expressed as BET surface (m2/g). Surface area is measured using nitrogen gas (N2). Since the polluting substances are retained on the surface of the activated carbon, the size of the surface area is a highly effective factor to eliminate pollution. In principle, it is thought that larger the surface area higher the number of adsorption sites.

Areas of UsageActivated carbons are used in many areas such as treatment of water and wastewater, purification and cleaning of gases, purification process in the food industry, carbon additive in the metal industry, productive clothing in the defense industry, bomb making to silence the explosives and electronic systems in the weapon industry, and various products in the health industry.

Use of Activated Carbon in Respiratory Protective Masks:Activated carbon is also used in Respiratory Protective Masks in order to protect human health. Activated carbons are used in production of dust masks, half-face masks and full-face masks pursuant to the relevant standard for the purpose of protecting the users from the Respiratory Risks arising from gases, vapours and chemicals in the breathed air.

TECHNICAL DATASHEET

PROPERTIES OF SUPER SERIES ACTIVATED CARBON LAYEROur activated carbon particles formed by carbonizing the coconuts are laminated to nonwoven fabric through special proce ses in order to produce activated carbon layers that deliver an outstanding performance,

These special layers can retain all vapours. They are highly capable of segregating organic molecules such as solvents. They deliver an outstanding performance to absorb the welding fumes, low-level gases and odour nuisance.

The activated carbon layers are resistant to flaming in the case of sparking, etc. due to the works such as cutting or grinding.

The activated carbon capacity for chemical fumes, gas, odours / odours as noted in the table by the numbers 1-4, varies somewhat with the odours/odours concentration in the air with humidity and temperature. The numbers listed in the Index represent typical or average conditions, and might vary in specific instances.

A typical adsorption value for Index ratings of 3 & 4 is about 4mmol adsorbed for each gram of carbon – this is a very crude estimate but Works reasonably for simple hydrocarbons (alkanes),

e.g. for hexane (C6H14) MW = 84 so capacity would be about 0.34g per gram of carbon.

CAPACITY / DESCRIPTION

One kilogram of carbon can adsorb about 20% to 50% of its own weight.

One kilogram of carbon can adsorb about 10% to 20% of its own weight.

One kilogram of carbon can adsorb less than 10% of its own weight.

Not applicable without impregnation

NOTES

Fitting Instructions Before fitting the respirator, ensure your hands are clean and then take the respirator as the nosepiece part is on the top and follow the steps below;

1. Cup the respirator in your hand with the nosepiece at your fingertips allowing the headbands to hang freely below your hand

2. Place the lower strip with adjustment clip under the ears.

3. Place the upper strip on top of your head

4. Place the mask on your face as you feel the most comfortable and then adjust the tightness from the adjustment clip.

5. To test fit for respirator without exhalation valve: cup both hands over the respirator and inhale sharply. A negative pressure should be felt inside respirator. If air flows around your nose, tighten the nosepiece. If air leaks around the edges, reposition the headband for better fit.

IMPORTANT: It is highly important to train the users for correct use of the product. When it become difficult to breath or the mask is dama-ged or deformed, or it does not fit the face, the mask should be immediately replaced. The instructions should be carefully followed as an important step in safe use of the mask.

CONTROLS BEFORE USAGE

● Before use, read the instructions carefully

● Check the date of the end of shelf life

● Check the suitability of the mask to the area where used,

looking at the signs on the mask.

● Check the head bandages of the mask.

● Check the nose clips of the mask.

● Check the mask if there is a damage or not before use.

TECHNICAL DATASHEET

Fit Check

Cover the front of the respirator with both hands being careful not to disturb its fit.

(a) UNVALVED respirator - EXHALE sharply

(b) VALVED respirator - INHALE sharply.

If air leaks around the nose, re-adjust the nose clip to eliminate leakage. Repeat the above fi t check. If air leaks at the respirator edges, work the straps back along the sides of the head to eliminate leakage. Repeat the above fi t check. If you CANNOT achieve a proper fit DO NOT enter the hazardous area. See your supervisor. Users should be fi t tested in accordance with national requirements.
