When who you know can be the difference between standing out
and being overlooked by employers, having the Stevens Career Center on your side is a great advantage. Without their
efforts to promote my candidacy to companies that align with my
career goals, I would have never realized Edwards
Lifesciences existed and most likely not been able to move out to the West Coast, as I desired. Having been prepared by the office’s seminars, I can now
proudly say I work at Edwards in Salt Lake City and I help to
save lives.

I honestly wouldn’t be as successful as I am today if it weren’t for the help of the Career Center staff.
They provided so many resources – from resume building to interviewing skills and event etiquette in a dinner
setting. Their patience and commitment to helping students aided me in landing a summer
internship at The Linde Group in 2014, which turned into a full time
offer in the fall of that year. I found my dream job at Linde and the
Stevens Career Center helped give that to me, which I will always be
grateful for.

I am very excited to begin my career in the same area I grew to love over my four years at
Stevens. This is mostly due to Stevens’ highly regarded
reputation and its own Career Center. My only complaint is
that I had too many interviews! On top of opening a ton of doors for me, the career advisors were
always there to answer questions ranging from how to
word resumes to how to negotiate my final salary. It’s
because of them that I had the option to stay close and work at
my first-choice company.

The Stevens Career Center gave me everything I needed by my senior
year to be prepared to get the job of my dreams. The Career Center
offered me so many opportunities to develop thanks to their one-on-one resume reviews, mock interviews,
and financial workshops, to name a few. From my freshman year, I could see how much they were invested in my success and wanted me to grow
professionally. They took the time to learn about my interests and steered me in the right direction of potential job opportunities I would have never
known about. The advice given to me has led me to acquire my internships over the years and helped me make the right decision when accepting a full time job. There is a reason the
Stevens Career Center is ranked so highly; it’s the people who want to get
to know you and assist you in obtaining success after college.

I’m so excited to begin my career at Johnson & Johnson as part of the ITLDP Class of 2015! As a

The Stevens Career Center was a large contributor to my success at Stevens and beyond. The size of

First Generation Profiles
Since day one, I knew Stevens was the right place for me. I am in the first generation of my family to go to
college and the engineering curriculum was challenging but I was still able to be an active and leading member of three social and professional
organizations on campus. Throughout my journey at Stevens, I had great advisors such as Dean Berkley, Dr. Zigh, and the Career Center team, that trusted in my ability to succeed and provided continual support. With their help, I was able to secure an amazing job at one of my top companies before graduation and I am
now proud to call myself a Stevens Alum! Rosa Andujar ’15

Going through college is a difficult journey, and being a first generation college student comes with its own
unique challenges. There are all these unprecedented scenarios and key decisions that need to be made which can be overwhelming to tackle alone. The Stevens structured Career Development program prepared me for interviews, helped me polish my resume, and through existing relationships with
companies opened doors for me that I never thought possible. The STEP Program provided me with
continued support and allowed me to forge friendships that will last a lifetime. Graduation was an emotional day since it was the culmination of a long
journey that I never could have completed were it not for the endless support I received and the sacrifices
my parents made for me on a daily basis. As one chapter of my life closes, another begins and I am
blessed to start my career as part of a great company.
