Class of 2019

Boca Christian Congratulates the Valedictorian of the Class of 2019

Jack Oden is the Valedictorian of the Class of 2019. He has been a student at Boca

Christian since kindergarten and now graduates with a GPA of 4.44. Jack has spent his

high school career focusing on his academics and furthering his knowledge in

engineering and technology. As captain of the robotics team, Jack led his team to the

quarter finals at the World Championship in Houston in 2018. More recently, the team

qualified for two regional competitions including a tournament in Myrtle Beach, South

Carolina. His proficiency in math is demonstrated not only on the robotics team, but

also in his academics as the school’s winner of the 2018 American Math Competition

12. Jack’s work ethic is also seen in his academic career as an AP Scholar with Honors,

as a member of both National Honor Society and National Math Honor Society, and as a

recipient of Gold Honor Roll all four years in high school.

BRCS CHALK-TALK

Jack has spent much of his time volunteering in the community and at school. He was a member of the Production

Engineering team at Boca Christian, which gave him the knowledge and skill to lead audiovisual support at his

church, Grace Community, where he has volunteered for the past several years. Jack also volunteered as a

counselor for a robotics camp hosted by FAU and is a senior member of the school’s prayer group Crazy Love.

Jack served on all four high school class mission trips and enjoyed his opportunities to share Jesus with others.
