Hall Passes/Lockers
•Whenever you leave a classroom you must have a pass:•Purple pass from Principal/Attendance•Gold pass from Counselor•Pink pass from Attendance•Restroom pass – color to coordinate with
area of your classroom

RESTROOM POLICY
• Follow the color on the restroom pass your Teacher gives you; colors are posted on restroom doors.
THS TARDY POLICY•3 tardies = 1 hour detention•6 tardies = 2 hour detention•9 tardies = 3 hour detention•12 tardies = Saturday detention•Additional tardies may result in ISSClassroom Policy•3 tardies in one class = N in Conduct and loss of semester exemption•NEW – IF ASSIGNED ISS AND YOU ARE

Final Exam Exemptions•3 exemptions EACH semester
Qualifiers -
• Grades, Conduct, Attendance (including Tardies)
• A - 3 absences / B - 2 absences / C - 1 Absence • N or U in conduct – Lose exemption• + 6 HOURS OF DETENTIONS - you lose exemption• ISS/OSS - you lose exemption
• 3 tardies = 1 absence
Dress Code Reminders• Skirts, dresses, shorts can be no shorter than mid-thigh.
• Shirts/blouses are to be closed/buttoned in accordance with design and appropriateness.
• Not permitted: Halters, spaghetti strap, see- through, tank tops, strapless, pajamas, hats/caps/visors, clothing/accessories with inappropriate wording or graphics.
Cell Phones & Earbuds• Cell Phones – Teacher approval
• Earbuds - one ear only please
• When entering a classroom cell phones must be silent and cell phone and ear buds must be put away.
If you are not in compliance with the guidelines your phone may be confiscated for the class period or the remainder of the day.
Failure to give your device to the staff member will result in additional consequences.
If you bring a cell phone, earbuds, iPod, Ipad, tablet or laptop to school, it is your responsibility to keep them secure.
IF YOU RIDE A BIKE TO SCHOOL, BE SURE TO PUT A LOCK ON IT.
Lunch Behavior
Clean up after yourself
Use your own THS student ID
No cuts
No balloons, no food deliveries from Door Dash, Uber food, etc.
Fighting
is not acceptable.
If you are hit by another student, avoid striking back and go to the nearest adult.
If you are hit by another student and strike back, you become a participant in the fight.
Fighting may result in a ticket or an arrest, as well as additional disciplinary consequences.

SpeakUp• SpeakUP is the new anonymous reporting tool for Katy ISD.
• SpeakUP is an app that you can download from the Google Play or Apple Store.
• SpeakUP is also available online and will be linked to every Katy ISD webpage
• Allows an anonymous way to report a wide range of concerns including:
Bullying, threats of violence, drug use, dating violence, weapons, mental health concerns,
vandalism, as well as many other concerns

Possession
A student is considered in possession of an object or substance if the item is:
• on the student’s person• in the student’s personal property
(clothing, purse, backpack, etc.)• in any school property used by the student
(locker, desk, etc.)• in any private vehicle driven by the student to school.

•Medication of any kind needs to be taken to the nurse before school with a note and in the original packaging
•Students in possession of medication of any kind during the school day will receive disciplinary consequences
Alcohol, Marijuana, Controlled
Substances, and Dangerous
Drugs
Students who commit alcohol-or drug-related offenses are
disciplined as required by State law:
Misdemeanor offenses – mandatory DAEP placement (OAC assignment)
Felony offenses – mandatory expulsion to the JJAEP (downtown Houston/no transportation)
Prohibited Items
Do not bring the following items to school:
•Laser pointers
•Matches, lighters, e-cigs, Juul’s and/or tobacco products, chargers
(Juul’s with THC IS A FELONY!!!!!)
•Look-alike weapons
Accidentally Bringing a
Prohibited Item
Students who accidentally bring a prohibited item to school should turn the item in to a teacher or administrator immediately before it is discovered or reported by another person. Students may not be disciplined the first time an item is accidentally brought to school and promptly turned in, unless the item is prohibited by law.
Loitering & Food in the Halls
•Students may sit on the floor in hallways next to their classrooms before the 7:18 a.m. bell, as long as their back is against a locker or wall. Otherwise, proceed to the Main Campus Commons.•During instructional hours (7:25 a.m. – 2:35 p.m.), only
water in clear plastic bottles is permitted in the halls and classrooms.•Must exit building by 2:45 p.m., unless with a teacher
or under the supervision of an adult.
