HOW? Entering The Classroom
Please enter quietly – It’s NOT Social Time

Warm-up work that will be written on the board
Always write the daily objectives in your notebook.
HOW? Be Ready
EVERYDAY: bring a pencil and your notebook EVERY FRIDAY: bring colored pencils and
colored markers for mini-posters &/or projects
When I need your attention I will raise my hand. Stop what you are doing and make eye contact with me to show that you are ready to listen.
Physical breaks are ok: you may get out of your seats & stand at the back of the class as long as you are not disruptive.
HOW? Absences &Tardies
Sign the tardy log book & attach a tardy pass to the clipboard. Do not disrupt the class by coming up to me.
Get the daily assignment from a classmate after class and do it at home.
If you missed a test because of an excused absence, arrange a time to make up the test after school.
Class Discussions
I believe that the most effective learning takes place when students are actively involved in discussions.
I ask lots of questions during instruction.
I want you to think and participate.
There are NEVER any wrong answers to my open-ended questions.
HOW? Homework
Class time will be given for all assignments & lab reports.
You may work in groups. If you finish, you have no homework. Turn assignments in on time for full
credit, but turn them in even if they’re late!
