FIRST DOWN: In the first quarter of the Cavs’ 106-76 win over Memphis on Oct. 28, Cleveland outscored the Grizzlies 26-10. Cleveland allowed the Grizzlies to only

make 4 of 21 shots from the floor, a shooting percentage of 19 percent.

Since the NBA introduced the 24-second clock in 1954, that's the fewest points that any team has scored in the first quarter of its season opener, played at home. The previous record was held by the Celtics, who were held to 12 points by Chicago in their season opener, played in Boston, on Halloween night in 1997. (Elias Sports Bureau)

The 10 points allowed in the opening period was their lowest since April 12, 2009 when the Cavs gave up just nine points to the Boston Celtics in the first quarter of play.

Cleveland also went on to beat the Grizzlies by 30 points that night, which was their third road win by at least 30 points since February 20, 2015. Since then, the rest of the NBA has had just three total road wins by at least 30 points. Prior to February 20, 2015, the Cavs had just two 30-point road wins in their entire franchise history. (STATS, Inc.)

HOME SWEET HOME: Since Jan. 19 of last season, the Cavaliers hold a 21-1 record at Quicken Loans Arena, winning by double figures in 16 of the 22 games. They

are outscoring opponents by nearly 13 points (105.5-92.7) at The Q over that stretch. The Cavs also have a few other marks going for them at home. Since the beginning of last season, the Cavs are…

24-0 when scoring at least 100 points at home (1-0 this season) 14-0 when shooting .500 or better from the field at home (0-0 this season)

18-0 when shooting .400 or better from behind the arc at home (0-0 this season) 7-0 when dishing out at least 30 assists (0-0 this season)

EASTERN CONFERENCE CROWN: The Cavaliers made their 19th playoff appearance in team history in the 2014-15 season. In last year’s playoff run, the Cavs

advanced to the NBA Finals for the second time in franchise history (2007) and finished the postseason with a team record of 14 wins. En route to the NBA Finals, the Cavs swept Boston in the First Round (4-0), defeated Chicago in the Semifinals (4-2) and knocked off Atlanta (4-0).

LONG RANGE MARKSMEN: Since acquiring J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert in a three-team trade, the Cavs led the NBA in

three-pointers made per game at 11.6 (since Jan. 7). Last season, the Cavs had 38 games of at least 10 triples made, with 32 of those coming in the last 47 games of 2014-15.

• The Cavs averaged 10.1 three-pointers made per game in 2014-15 (4th in NBA), which shattered the previous franchise single-season record (8.0 in 2008-09). It was also the ninth-highest three-pointers made per game average in league history.

• The Wine and Gold also set a single season record for total threes with 826, surpassing the 2008-09 record of 656. They were just one of 13 teams in NBA history to reach 800 triples in a season. The team’s 826 triples in 2014-15 were the eighth-most all-time.

• The Cavs set franchise records for three-pointers made in a game (19 vs. ATL 11/15) and triples made in a game on the road (18 at ORL 3/15).

• Cleveland connected on at least 10 three-pointers in nine consecutive road games from March 1-25, their longest in franchise history. Also in March, the team set a franchise record for three-pointers made in a single month with 184 triples (12.3 per game).

THREE-HEADED MONSTER: LeBron James (25.3), Kyrie Irving (21.7) and Kevin Love (16.4) were the highest scoring trio in the NBA at 63.4 points per game in

2014-15. They each scored at least 20 points in the same game eight times this season (7-1) and at least 15 or more points 25 times (21-4).

- Since three-pointers became an official NBA stat in 1979-80, the 2014-15 Cavs were one of only two teams in league history with three players who tallied 1,200 points and 115 three-pointers in a single season, joining the 1995-96 Dallas Mavericks trio of Jim Jackson, George McCloud and Jason Kidd.

- James (1,743), Irving (1,628) and Love (1,228) were the first Cavs trio to each score 1,200 points in a single season since 1992-93 (Brad Daugherty, Mark Price, Larry Nance).

IRON MAN: Tristan Thompson has appeared in all 82 games in each of the past three seasons. So

far, his consecutive games played streak is at 291 dating back to Feb. 10, 2012.

2015-16 MEDIA GUIDE: Everything you need to know about the Cleveland Cavaliers 2015-16 Regular Season is available in the online media guide at the following link:

http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/team/guide

ROCKIN’ THE Q: The Cavaliers sold out each of their 41 home games at Quicken Loans Arena in 2014-15, their second time selling out every game in the regular season

(2009-10). The Cavs opened the 2015-16 season at The Q on Oct. 30 against the Miami Heat, which was their 11th straight home opener sellout. Cleveland also filled up the arena in all 10 home games during the 2015 Playoffs. To date, including regular season (341) and playoffs (45), there have been 386 sellouts at The Q and 52 consecutive sellouts (regular season and playoffs only).

CAVS UNVEIL THREE NEW ALTERNATE UNIFORMS: As the Cleveland Cavaliers enter their 45th anniversary season in 2015-16, they will do so with new threads that

uniquely tie the team’s rich history with their electric present and exciting future. The Cavs will debut three new adidas alternate uniforms this season, each reflecting previous eras of Cavaliers basketball while also incorporating current-day trends. The new looks will rotate with four uniforms that continue from last season – home white, road wine, gold alternate and navy alternate.

BACK TO THE BEGINNING: As a throwback to the early days, the Cavs will bring back the gold retro Hardwood Classics home uniform the team wore during the 1974-80 seasons. The jersey features “CAVALIERS” across the chest in wine, with wine numbers and lettering, and alternating wine and white block piping on the jersey and shorts. While many fans remember the times these uniforms were originally worn, this updated version will expose younger fans to the early years of the franchise. The 2015-16 season will feature six “Hardwood Classics Nights” at The Q, each focusing on a unique aspect of that era. A Miracle of Richfield Celebration presented by FirstEnergy on March 4th will be entirely dedicated to the 1975-76 team who led the Cavaliers to their first playoff appearance and first Central Division title.

RELIVING THE 80’S: The popular “CAVS” wordmark from the front of the team’s jerseys during the 1980’s – featuring the “V” basket with a net and ball - will return this season, this time in gold lettering on a wine jersey. It will include white numbers with a gold outline, and gold lettering on the back. The jersey and shorts will both feature wine and gold trim. This year’s version is an update of a “CavFanatic” jersey worn during the 2009-10 season. The uniform will make its debut at the Cavs home opener against the Miami Heat on October 30th. All fans at the game will receive a t-shirt replica of the jersey.

OLD SCHOOL MEETS NEW AGE: Over the course of the 45-year history of the Cavs, the team has worn three versions of a black uniform: 1994-97, 1997-99 and 1999-2003. The 2015-16 season will mark the return of the black uniform, this time with the present-day logo and sleeves. It will be the first time the Cavaliers will wear a sleeved jersey. The black jersey will feature a large wine “C” logo with gold trim on the center of the chest, wine numbers with a gold outline, and gold lettering on the back. The neck and shorts will include wine and gold trim.

SELECT NEW JERSEYS AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY: Both the wine “CAVS” logo and black sleeved jerseys will be available immediately online at cavaliersteamshop.com and beginning Thursday morning at the Cavs Team Shop at The Q for the following players: Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Kevin Love (black sleeved only), Timofey Mozgov and J.R. Smith. The remaining players’ jerseys in wine and black will be available online and at the Team Shop beginning with the home opener on October 30th. Fans are able to take part in an online presale for the gold Hardwood Classics jerseys beginning immediately on cavaliersteamshop.com, for the following players: Irving, James, Love, Mozgov and Smith. The remaining players’ Hardwoods Classics jerseys will be available online and at the Team Shop on November 19th for the first “Hardwood Classics Night.”
