    We need your help developing a plan for Clevelands urban forest.

    The City of Cleveland is working to develop a unified vision for the future of our urban foresttogether with LAND Studio, Thriving Communities Institute, Holden Arboretum and Cleveland

    Neighborhood Progress. This Tree Plan will help restore and protect our urban forest on both

    public and private lands.

    With the help of Davey Resource Group , we will be looking at policies, programs and land use planning to create one vision for our urban forest, along with an implementable roadmap forachieving short and long-term urban forestry goals.

    The Cleveland Tree Plan will only be as good as the information used in its creation andcommitment of all involved to work together in its implementation. We know your time is indemand, but we hope you can help us make Cleveland the Forest City once again. Pleaseconsider participating in three, 2-hour invite-only breakfast meetings in 2015:

    1. Stakeholder Meeting #1: Our Trees Thursday, February 5, 2015 8:00 10:00 a.m.Cleveland Neighborhood Progress, 11327 Shaker Blvd, Suite 500W, Cleveland 44104

    DISCUSSION: Taking stock of our urban forest via canopy cover and inventory data,natural areas, climate resiliency, tree and canopy benefits, and other relevantinformation, we will discuss where we are, where we should be, and develop futuregoals.

    2. Stakeholder Meeting #2: The Players Tuesday, March 3 , 2015 8:00 10:00 a.m.Cleveland Neighborhood Progress, 11327 Shaker Blvd, Suite 500W, Cleveland 44104

    DISCUSSION: This meeting will identify partners (both active and potential) with astake in advancing Clevelands urban forest. Discussions will include how to involve all

    players and in what ways can each entity participates and contributes to a unified goal.

    Players can include representatives from all sectors, public and private, governmentagencies, nonprofits, utilities, land owners, neighborhood groups and more.

    3. Stakeholder Meeting #3: Tree Management Thursday, April 9 , 2015 8:00 10:00 a.m.

    DISCUSSION: How is the urban forest managed currently, what is the current anddesired tree maintenance level? Who is involved? What funding is needed? Otherdiscussions may include pruning cycles, planting, removals, storm response, recordkeeping, funding, etc.

    Each meeting will start with a short presentation by Davey on relevant data for that particulartopic, a gathering of additional information from the participants and then exploring wherewe want to be in the future. The outcomes of the meetings will used to articulate a pathwayto achieve those goals and to define metrics used to gauge progress.
