Alication Guidelines: things to highlight
Organisations will need to demonstrate the ability to
mobilise and imlement activities within tight
timeframes associated with fast-start eriod
Preference given to roosals where organisationshave established relationshi with communities
Preference given to larger roosals for Vietnam3
while not ruling out smaller innovative roosals4
5&!!6 activities are not eligible for funding
Integrated adatation and mitigation roosals are
allowed for Vietnam as long as they clearly indicate
funding under each comonent

Stri9ing the right balance between economic growth and en&ironmental sustainabilitywill be a particular challenge as +ietnam ad&ances towards its target o becoming anindustrialised country by 5656.
!limate change poses a serious threat or +ietnam. It threatens to destabiliseeconomic growth: e,acerbate ood shortages and erode recent gains in po&ertyreduction ( all o which would negati&ely impact progress towards achie&ing the/illennium De&elopment Goals.
