For an organization like India

First Life which was looking

for a big leap crippled with

the traditional business model

heavily relying on legacy

platform which has limited

room to keep the pace of new

age IT. CtrlS drew inspiration

from Mckinsey a “two –speed

IT architecture” - one that

decouples the management of

customer-centric front-end

systems and applications from

the management of existing

transaction-oriented back-end

systems. In the similar the

legacy mainframe based

application was kept least

disturbed while the elements

which were candidates for

cloud adoption adoptions

were identified as part for

technology road-map. Once

the road-map was chartered

and formally approved by the

business. CtrlS defined the

initiatives ought to be

adopted by India First Life in

a phased approach:

Phase I – Colocation &

Remote Infrastructure

geographies with 1500 end

users and 1300 IT asset

Datacenter located at Reliance

DAKC.

Phase II – Implementing

on demand DR-as-a-

Service on cloud

CtrlS. The Hybrid Model of

Collocation and Cloud was

offered. Colocation was

namely for Group Asia and

Life Asia application; rest

cost control. This provided

them the much needed a true

on demand DR-as-a-Service.
