CM valve The high-performance ring valve designed specifically for high-pressure applications
A new valve concept designed by
HOERBIGER for use where others fail
In order to achieve best-possible
levels of efficiency, HOERBIGER has
maximised the number of rings for each
size of valve. This increases capacity,
whilst delivering considerable energy-
saving potential.
In order to achieve maximum resistance
to wear and longer servicing intervals
at high pressures and fast speeds, an
extremely impact-resistant material of
the HOERBIGER non-metallic grades is
used for the rings. The rings are aligned
precisely by guides integrated into the
valve seat.
A synchronisation plate and separator
permit the use of heavy-duty springs,
whilst ensuring the even distribution of
spring pressure.
The natural-gas sector requires compressors with greater efficiency and reliability
How can capacity be increased in existing compressor unitsas well
as improving efficiency and reliability?
Higher capacity is achieved by
 Using more efficient valves
 Replacing cylinders
 Higher compressor speeds
High speeds mean
 Extreme wear of sealing elements
 Lower valve service-life
Greater efficiency means
 Lower energy consumption
This demands valve solutions that meet
these conditions and ensure fewer
pressure losses.
This is why HOERBIGER has developed
a new valve concept.
CM valve from HOERBIGER: The definitive solution for high-pressure applications involving large flow quantities
Steel plate to prevent wear to the rings on the synchronisation plate
Valve rings guided directly in the seat
Spring geometry and spring nest designed to ensure maximum dynamic reliability
Guard profile to prevent oil adherence
Rings made of carbon-fibre-reinforced HTCX material for maximum impact resistance
Synchronisation plate made of well proven HP material
A large flow cross-section, optimised seat-geometry adapted to the narrow rings and the use of extremely robust
materials all help to make the CM valve the most efficient and reliable valve for use in high-pressure applications.
