Since 1984, the Canadian Mental Health Association, York Region and South Simcoe has been dedicated improving the quality of life for people in our community living with mental illnesses.
We help people learn how to maintain their mental health, look for and identify the signs of mental illness, and get help and support when they need it.
Through multiple locations throughout York Region and South Simcoe, we provide a wide range of services to assist individuals with their recovery.
Our multi-disciplinary team of professionals are dedicated to assisting people achieve their optimum level of mental health. We support the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness through advocacy, education, research and service.
Last year over 8,800 individuals turned to CMHA York Region and South Simcoe for help when they needed it most.
About Us
About Mental Health in MotionMental Health in Motion is more than just an event. It’s everyone’s opportunity to connect – to your own mental health, to each other and to our community, while raising critical funds that support MOBYSS (Mobile York South Simcoe) – Ontario’s first and only mobile health unit for youth aged 12-25. Last year more than 5,000 people climbed onboard the bus for information, health support or counselling.
When: Saturday, June 14, 2020
Where: Start and Finish at Upper Canada Mall, Newmarket
Distances include: 100km, 60km, 20km and 5km
800+ participants of all ages will run, walk or bike with a goal to raise $255,000 or more to keep MOBYSS on the road 5 days per week, 52 weeks per year.
