THE PORTFOLIO• Collection of evidence to demonstrate skills, knowledge and

behaviours against the totality of the Apprenticeship Standard• Enables the apprentice to showcase their best work • Presented electronically • Video, audio and photographic evidence encouraged• Clearly referenced against the learning outcomes within the

Standard• Provides an opportunity for the apprentice to reflect on their

learning and demonstrate how they have applied their acquired knowledge in their workplace

• Submitted at Gateway

PORTFOLIO CONSTRUCTION

› WILL CONTAIN:◦ Individual Learning Plan◦ Performance Reviews & Work Appraisals◦ Record of CPD & Evidence of 360 Degree Feedback◦ A range of Work Based Evidence◦ Statement of Authenticity◦ Expert Witness Signatures (peers & line manager etc.)◦ Work Based Project (Level 5)◦ Recorded evidence - timestamped to show where

evidence occurs

WORK BASED PROJECT• The project will be set and completed during the latter part of

the Apprenticeship• Mapped to the Apprenticeship Standards (in the Portfolio) and

demonstrate knowledge, skills and behaviours• Based on a business problem that is part of the apprentice’s

role• Use of assumptions and consequences to demonstrate

understanding of commercial pressures and the application of the apprentice’s thinking and problem solving skills

• Employer & Training Provider to support apprentice in creating a viable project.

• Suitable time should be set aside to enable the apprentice to plan, undertake and write up the project, this will contribute to 20% Off The Job Training

Knowledge Test Activity

Profesional Discussion

• 30 minutes (maximum)• Designed to offer the apprentice the opportunity to demonstrate

knowledge, skills and behaviours against the Standard • Linked Directly into teh Apprentices CPD Log• Apprentice will be supported in advance, and should be

encouraged to access mock questions and resources i.e. STAR techniques in advance

EPA LIVE ASSESSMENT DAYS

› Remote or Face to Face Depending on Level › Panel for L5 and L6 (Employer, Provider,

Apprentice,IAA)› LIAA may drop in on remote sessions › Presentation › Competency based interview

• Apprentices will also be assessed for Chartered Manager status at level 5, CMDA and SLMDA

• CMI is the only End Point Assessment Organisation who can award the CMgr status

• Apprentice must have three years work experienceCHARTERED

MANAGER

CPD● Results will be provided 10 days

after EPA has been completed

● Certification will be processed 14 days after each friday (for Appeals)

● Certificates usually take around 28 days

● CMI Will provide a CPD certificate to acknowledge EPA
