Witnessing surface pre-treatment (salt content, purity and roughness, dust exposure etc.,) Verifying the quality of blasting abrasive (steel, grit, sand, grain-size distribution, salt content, etc.)Make sure the sub-contractor is performing and recording the data of atmospheric conditions such as air temperature, dew point during various phases of production stages as per ITP. Material receiving inspection of coatings for its compliance with the contract specifications. Performing Spot check wet and dry film thicknesses for each layer of coat by inspecting primer, intermediate and top coat (inspection to coating defects, keeping the layer thickness etc) and do Final inspection (overall layer, coating defects, gloss level, etc).Controlling the compliance of requirement for creating test

My scope of work includes Inspection of all painting and insulation activities, checking contractors work, qualifying contractor and sub-contractor personnel and monitoring contractor with all coating and insulation activities for the projects, ensure that painting and insulation works were carried out in accordance with specification and contractual requirements. Main duties include identifying and highlighting potential quality issues, standard violations against project quality requirements in QMIS.

Materiel receiving Inspection –Materials such as paints, abrasives, Insulation materials and fire retardant paints are inspected and its compliance, i.e. whether it’s from the approved manufacturer from the client or not. On site arrival inspection on valves such as Valve Italia, Butterfly valves etc. Internal coated valves are tested visually as well as high voltage holiday. Performing and highlighting Focused Assessment of contractor activities in a weekly basis. Area to improve, site quality requirements are depict clearly in QMIS. Installed vessels such as suction KO drum, pressure vessels are holiday tested before box up are witnessed. Piping’s FBE(Fusion Bonded Epoxy Internal&External),Tape wrapping,3Layer Polyethlene(3LPE), Benzona moping to shield metals from expose into atmosphere, 2G (Glass Flake) Coating on Concrete surfaces are witnessed. Cold & Hot Insulation-witnessing surface preparation requirements, ongoing activity, vapour barrier, insulation prior to cladding.
