Sea Tel Recommended Preventive Maintenance
• Monthly operator checks and inspections are recommended (Scheduled Preventive Maintenance).
• Maintenance procedure includes detailed instructions on replacing all the other Lowest Replacement Unit (LRU) field replaceable components.
• A full range of replacement kits are provided. These kits include new hardware, Loctite or other materials required to change the component(s).
20 Cobham Satcom – Sea Tel Products Restricted Use – Property of Cobham SATCOM, Marine Systems
• Maintenance – The radome must be kept clean and free of residues that will
increase the RF attenuation.
• Repair - Any cracks, scratches or other damage to the surface seal of the radome must be repaired and re-sealed by a competent “A” layered laminate (or cored deck) repair professional.
• NOTE: Damage to the seal of the inside, or outside, of the radome can allow moisture
to be absorbed. This will result in the radome being heavier and having higher attenuation. Do NOT drill holes in the radome.
• Disposal - Should it ever become necessary to dispose of the radome, it must be disposed of using the same handling procedures as other fiberglass materials.
Continuing Maintenance: Radome Care Notes

What is SNMP?
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is an "Internet-standard protocol for managing devices on IP networks." Devices that typically support SNMP include routers, switches, servers, workstations, printers, modem racks, and more.“
It is used mostly in network management systems to monitor network-attached devices for conditions that warrant administrative attention. SNMP is a component of the Internet Protocol Suite as defined by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). It consists of a set of standards for network management, including an application layer protocol, a database schema, and a set of data objects.
