2 General Requirements

4 Site operation

Topic Site-specific requirement

Working hours This site shall adhere to the following workinghours:

b. continuous for duration of the Falconbrook

connection tunnel construction.When other types of working hours (CoCPPart A,

Table 4.1) are required, these shall be subject toagreement with the local authority through theSection 61 process.

Site layout As per text in CoCPPart A.

Site security / hoardingrequirements

The hoarding is to be as defined in CoCPPart Apara. 4.3.4c, planted hoarding on public facingsections.

Increased height of the hoarding adjacent to theYork Gardens Library and Community Centre, andalong the boundary with the York GardensAdventure Playground to 3.6m.

River works As per text in CoCPPart A.

Other items Site cabin and welfare facilities to be dark greencolour to tie in with the planted hoardings.

5 Public access, highway and river transport


Site access and gates New access/egress points are required off YorkRoad.

Left turn in from York road and left turn out.

The security barrier shall be positioned to allow astandard rigid tipper vehicle to be wholly off theroad whilst awaiting barrier operation.

Only emergency access through LavenderRoad/housing area is to be permitted unless agreedotherwise.

Existing access arrangements for Thames Wateroperational vehicles shall be maintained as per theexisting regime through Lavender Road.

Traffic management Access to York Gardens Library and CommunityCentre, and York Gardens Adventure Playground tobe maintained. Existing bus stop on York Road(A3205) shall be relocated to a suitable alternativeposition as necessary. The alternative positionshall be located approximately 15m south of theexisting location, as agreed with Transport forLondon.

Pedestrian access from York Road to York Gardensshall be maintained during construction.

Disabled parking facility (1 bay) for community

centre to be maintained during the constructionperiod at an accessible location.

A vehicle marshal or similar shall be provided whererequired to ensure the safety of pedestrianscrossing the construction access.

A small area available for car parking adjacent tothe York Gardens Library and Community Centreshall be suspended during construction.

The existing pedestrian access to the York GardensLibrary and Community Centre shall be maintained.

Access to the existing pedestrian drop-off areaimmediately east of the York Gardens Library andCommunity Centre shall be maintained.

Other The footpath diversion shall be adequately signed.

6 Noise and vibration


Control measures As per text in CoCPPart A.

Other The site layout and hoarding design shall take intoaccount the York Gardens Adventure Playground to

the north of the site with regards to noiseattenuation and screening.

During connection tunnel works outside of standardworking hours the use of surface cranes shall beminimised. This shall involve the stockpiling ofmaterials/ equipment at the bottom of the shaft foruse during the evening and night for removal duringstandard working hours. In addition the work shallutilise measures to reduce noise including the useof electric gantry cranes, gas/electric fork lift andmeasures to reduce noise from skip movementsand unloading.
