Celebrations in honour o f the Youth of Poland

- August 7th -

The Vth Festival w i l l help bring closer the youth o f the entire world to the Polish youth and help strengthen the bonds o f friendship aaong the youth of a l l countries a? well as with the inhabitants of Warsaw, oapital o f Poland.

During the Festival the part played by the Poles in the f ight for freedom and socia l progress should be empha­sised an well as the rebuilding o f Poland, i t s national traditions and i t s beauty, economic reconstruction, cultural and soc ia l improvements, the part played by Poland in the fight against hitlerism and the fight to establish peace.

I . During the Day o f Polish Youth - August 7th

- The Polish youth w i l l hold a colourful pageant to i l lu s t ra t e their work and their achievements. About 50 thousand young people w i l l take part in the pageant.

- The Director -General o f the Po l ish Youth League w i l lhold a reception.

- Po l ish a r t i s t i c ensembles w i l l give performances.

There w i l l be concerts o f Po lish music.

- At some c f these events, there w i l l be opportunities for Festiva l pa rt ic ipants to learn Po l ish dances and songs.
