Welcome to the 2017-18 school year! The Cohasset Parent Schools Organization (PSO) would like to welcome your family to our schools. For those of you who are unfamiliar with us, we are a volunteer organization made up of parents, who are dedicated to the successful education of our children. The PSO uses its resources, both manpower and monetary, to help make the school year enriching and enjoyable for students, teachers, and parents. The purpose of our organization is to aid the students and sta by providing support for educational and recreational needs, to promote open communication between administration, teachers and parents and to encourage school spirit and pride. The PSO is excited about the year ahead and is pleased to provide you with this calendar so you are able to see and experience the many events that are taking place. The calendar includes the overall school district calendar as well as each schools’ specific events. In addition, sta listings and contacts for PSO Representatives are included. How do all these things happen you ask? It is because of you, our parent and caregiver volunteers! It may be STEM Night at the Osgood, the Deer Hill vs. Osgood Boosterthon, Romeo and Juliet at the Middle/High School or the Post Prom Support, plus many, many more. Our eorts span each and every school so that we serve the broader community. Our curriculum enrichment program helps bring programs to the schools that are closely aligned with the objectives of the teachers and administrators. How can you help? Great question – your time is so useful so please reach out to your school PSO representative to get involved. You may volunteer as much as your schedule allows, and if you can only do a limited activity, that works too! The calendar you are receiving is a large eort by many individuals and is delivered free of charge. However, there is a production cost and we kindly ask if you are able to make a donation, please use the enclosed envelope to help defray the expense.

Thank you,

Sarah McSweeney, President, Cohasset PSOLaura Soderberg, Vice President, Cohasset PSO
