COIM is world leader in designing and manufacturing Gas-Fired Billet Heaters for the extrusion of

Copper, Brass and Aluminum.

Since 1978 COIM means worldwide excellence and expertise for the most important extruders.

Our range of products includes Special Furnaces for Annealing and Heat Treatment of extruded

products and tailor-made Automatic Storages for billets.

Coim s.r.l.Gas-fired Billet Heaters - Annealing Furnaces

In 1978, some metallurgical technicians from the

district of Brescia - Italy (one of the main worldwide)

pool their experience to design and build furnaces and

machines for the non-ferrous extrusion industries.

In the 80S, COIM emerges and specializes in the

particular niche market of gas fired heaters and

furnaces for preheating and heat treatment of

copper, aluminum and relative alloys, developing and

improving the design and construction of energy

efficient furnaces.

In the 90S, COIM undertakes a major expansion,

coming to cover much of the Italian market furnaces

for brass billets and winning the European market

(in particular in Germany).

From 2000 the company enthusiastically espouses the

philosophy of the founders and helps to further accentuate

the distinctive features of COIM products: top quality

and energy efficiency, extreme customization, fast and

efficacious after sales service, expanding the activity to

emerging markets, such as EAST EUROPE and FAR EAST

ASIA.

The creation of the Presezzi Extrusion Group now means that customers can entrust all their extrusion requirements to a single, consolidated industrial reality, whose management dedicates itself to a constant technological growth, supported by the continuous, highly qualifiedactivities in its research and development department.

the utmost flexibility in the supply of complete turn-key installations as well as standalone units

perfect synergy between the realities of the production and service departments within the group;

We take great care to all the construction phases, from technical specifications to full commissioning, to best repay our customers’ faith in us.

Coim is located in the heart of one of the most advanced industrial areas in Europe for metal processing, an excellent site that boasts a high reputation in industrial machine technology.

Project

All projects within the group are initiated and developed by our widely experienced and highly qualified engineering department using the latest generation of innovative 3D design systems to ensure the utmost quality at each and every stage of the design process.

Every project carried by the group out is UNIQUE in as much that it is custom designed according to the customers specific needs. It is followed through at every stagefrom design through production, installation and commissioning by independently operated business departments within the company.

Automation

Today COIM s.r.l. offers a unique, durable, safe and highly automated range of machinery. All systems are designed to ensure complete flexibility and ease of use. The systems are designed to ensure the full automation of the plants and the machinery and allow a continuous monitoring of the plant operation and efficiency thanks to dedicated software. Automation can be achieved at various levels, depending on the customer needs, starting from management of the single press to the control of the production and the entire extrusion line.

Start Up

Due to perfect group organization and synergies, our furnaces are preassembled directly in COIM s.r.l. workshop. This allows our staff to check every detail and achieve excellent results, significantly reducing assembly and start-up time.

Research & development

COIM designs and manufactures special furnaces for the Heat Treatment of Copper and Brass Rods, Tubes and Profiles (Annealing, Bright Annealing, Straightening), Aluminum Billets (Homogenization) and Aluminum Bars and Profiles (Ageing and Hardening). COIM has developed its own technology for Roller-Heart Continuous Furnaces (Jet Impingement), also with Vacuum and Inert Gas.

Service Specialized staff dedicated to any customer need

Even after our machines are assembled and commisioned, they are followed and monitored by our Service department, one of our strengths, a team of professionals highly specialized in assisting customers during production.

Remote ServiceInitial customer service is provided via Internet. For this reason, each machine or system is equipped with a modem that guarantees systematic service, constantly monitoring each customer’s problem. Remote service allows us to identify problems in real-time and, when possible, resolve situations directly from our facilities, thus saving time and increasing productivity.

Mechanical service and Spare PartsOur Service department helps customers find the best solution to any mechanical problem since we are able to provide mechanical spare parts whenever necessary. If on-site service is required, an appointment will be made with our technicians to identify the best corrective measures to be implemented.If, on the other hand, Spare Parts are required, whether standard or special, our staff will be pleased to quickly provide customers with the best estimate for the required parts.
