4 Luna Vasahi Temple

Near Dilwara Temple, Mount Abu,Rajasthan 307501, India

Devoted to Lord Neminath, Luna Vasahi Temple promises to holdyour attention with its architecturalbrilliance. Built centuries ago in 1230 byVastupal and Tejpal, the Porwad brotherswho were ministers during the reign of KingVirdhaval, the temple still stands tall with itsreligious importance and sheer beauty. Theentire temple showcases intricate anddelicate marble work which is almosttransparent at some places. 

The interiors are equally breathtaking witha main hall featuring a central dome whichhas a many layered lotus flower hangingfrom it. Then there is a circular band whichconsists of 72 images of Tirthankars in asitting posture. Beneath this carving, there isanother circle which has 360 images of JainMonks. The temple has elephant cells orHathishala which features 10 exquisitemarble elephants which are neatly polishedas well as realistically modelled. It is saidthat it took around 15 years to constructLuna Vashi temple and no wonder, one lookat this and you cannot help yourself butadmire the architectural splendour thatsymbolises this temple.  

5 Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary

Built over a 6-8 km long plateau, Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is home tolarge indigenous rocks.
