Romanian mobility: the 2nd-7th of June 2014 or 26-31th of May 2014

Piatra Neamț is located 350 km north of the capital city of Bucharest ,and the nearest airport is Bacău, situated at 60 km south and airoport Iași -130 km. Piatra Neamţ is linked by Romanian railway trunk number 509 to Bucharest and Iaşi, and by DN15 national road to Bacău (therefore DN2 to Bucharest), Iaşi, Suceava, and Târgu Mureş (Transylvania).

National College "Gh. Asachi" is a  vocational theoretical high school - specializations: pedagogical,  philology, natural sciences, social sciences.

Our students are involved in many extracurricular activities: “ProHistoria” history club, debate club Logos, Eco Patrol (called " Nature’s Reporters "), Photo club, chess club,dance  popular assemblies, the Campaign "Our home Europe". Also, we have teams of handball, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading troup. Students from the pedagogical classes take part in the theatre troup, the puppet troup or the or school choir.

CONFERENCE’S TITLE :THE ECOLOGICAL AGRICULTURE - A FUTURE SOLUTION LONG LASTING AND SUSTAINABLE

IF YOU COME IN ROMANIA WE OFFER:

Different exhibitions like: secular household items, old, traditional (wooden

spoons, bowls, pots, old iron and other objects used in milk processing etc);

traditional objects (collected by students from relatives): traditional fabrics (carpets, traditional blankets etc)

flower arrangements made from flowers, dried plants, dried leaves of corn (panush);

wool knitted items (gloves, mufflers, bootees, vests etc);

traditional national costumes; Exhibition of photographs that will illustrate the work

done by students in the project;

- Training workshop on "Eat well, live well" - the choice of traditional recipes will be prepared with organic foods

- Preparing the experimental area: land preparation, sowing organic seeds (carrot, dill, parsley, onion, garlic, leeks, beans, soy beans, lettuce, radishes, schinduc, pumpkin);

- Visit to a sheepfold where there are approved organic / ecological: cheese,  soft cow cheese,  Jintita etc.  Tasting the products prepared by shepherds with traditional methods.- Take a trip on the route Piatra Neamt - Bicaz  - Cheile Bicazului-Lacu Rosu  and back. In return we will visit a hostel which serves organic dishes.

- Attending activities at the College Application Kindergarten, where students develop educational practice  on topics of organic  food  (activity will be shot);Visiting tourist attractions, the city's cultural Piatra Neamt

Mobility Agreement – total persons 55 Student`s accommodation - at families /boarding

school (maximum 30 students ). Teacher`s accommodation – at a host (me and my

collegues we can host 6-7 teachers - or at

hotels/pension Guest`s lunch can be taken at the high-school`s

canteen ( about 9€ for day ) The mobility - each person is paying his transport) the teachers pay the accommodation if they stay at

the hotel/pension.
