What are the best aspects of your internship?My internship is more amazing than I ever thought it would be. I have the luxury of soaking up

tons of amazing informaon that isn't taught in college. There have been 2 events so far that I

have aended with my internship boss that have brought me around Markeng professionals

and SEO experts. I absolutely love networking with people that I would love to work with and

learn from. There have even been a handful of people that have insisted on geng my business

card so they can talk to me about potenal job oers. I'm very lucky to be in such an amazing posion.

I learn something new every week and it's usually surrounding SEO, social media, blogging, and event

markeng. I am currently working on my own blog with the encouragement of my boss and she has helped me

develop an SEO plan for my blog. I truly believe this internship is going to lead me to the career of my dreams.

What skil ls are you developing?

NetworkingIts all about who you know, and it goes beyond family and friends. Get to know your professors. Inform them

your interest so they will mention your name if something comes up their way. Thats what happened to me a

I am now an SEO intern all thanks to a referral by Marketing professor.

JOE VIDAL, a web developer intern for HEWLETT PACKARDS Solution Center in Alpharetta happenedto know the right people who thought of him when the internship position opened up. He gives credit to

his networking skill and encourages others to get out there and meet people. There are even Meetup.com

groups tting just about everyones interest, professional and otherwise, Fill your pockets with business

cards and get your name in peoples minds.

Coles College Career Services has resources that students may not even know exist. EMILY DONADEO, a

Marketing Intern for THREE DAY MEDIA, posted her resume on KSUs OWLLINK and had several interview

from that site. She eventually earned her current internship through a mass email from Kathy Hallmark after

her employer posted the position on the Coles College Internship & Co-

Op Facebook page.Use your college resources and if you dont know what those might be, visit the Coles College Career Services

Lab and remember to read the COLES CHRONICLE each week to learn all about the possible ways to get your

name and resume into the right hands.
