Experience

I have comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of construction with some supervisory experience. I have worked in the Construction industry for 34 years onshore in shipbuilding/ship repair, Petrochemical and Pharmaceutical industries, offshore and abroad in the Oil & Gas industry, fabrication yards on Greenfield/Brownfield projects including, pipe fitting, hydro-testing and N2 testing. I am also competent with fabrication of pipe work to highest standards using a variety of different materials and sizes such as Duplex, Carbon steel and Stainless steel, Titanium, Cunifer, Copper and Plastic. Varying in sizes ranging from ½” to 24”.

Recent Employment History

2008 – To date Global Producer III Maersk FPSO, Aker Solutions - Petrofac and AMEC Foster Wheeler - Pipefitter/Piping ForemanDuring my time on GP3 I have worked for three contracting companies. Whilst with Aker Solutions I was Piping Foreman for eighteen months. Duties included to liaise with General Foreman on a daily basis, report progress, onsite supervision of Platers, Welders and Riggers. To originate work permits and associated documents, risk assessments etc. Organise spool and valve deliveries, ensure materials and equipment are on site, scaffold access, identified TP’s onsite and flange management. Fabrication and fitting of 1/2” up to 24” pipework. Whilst employed with Petrofac and AFW general pipe fitting duties also fabrication of pipe supports and Synergy action close out dealing with platform safety issues. Assisting Mechanical department with isolations/de-isolations, installation of various sized valves and pipework using quick flange, lokring fittings and cold flaring pipework. I have also completed many shut downs within the time frame, safely and successfully.

February 2008 – June 2008 Options Employment, (Merit Engineering Ltd), Southampton University - Pipefitter

Duties included working in the plant room installing pipe work to pumps also water tower 12” pipe work

December 2007 – February 2008 Global Resources Group, (Dragon LMG), Milford Haven, Wales - Pipefitter Duties included pipe fabrication and erection of various sizes of pipe work on pre-fabricated skids on site.

August 2007 – November 2007 RBC Ltd, (Costain Petrofac), Offshore Morecambe Bay PipefitterDuties included fitting pipe work and associated supports.

May 2007 – August 2007 - Bilton Engineering Ltd, Sterling Organics (Pharmaceutical) Pipefitter Duties included installing glass lined vessel pipe work.

October 2006 – March 2007 UK Gas Technology, Pfizer (Pharmaceutical Plant) Kent PipefitterDuties included destruct and rebuild of various sizes of butt welded pipe work.

June 2006 – October 2006 McNulty Offshore Ltd - GP3 FPSO - Dumbarton Refit PipefitterI worked on the decommissioning and hook up yard phase of the GP3 FPSO. Work duties included destruct of existing pipe work and the installation of module, hook up and tie in pipe work.

Jan 2006 - June 2006 McNulty Offshore - Accommodation barges for Kashagan - PipefitterDuties included the completion of hooking up module pipe work, working from P&IDs and Isometric drawings, punching out systems, fault fixing, hydro testing and commissioning.

Nov 2005 - Jan 2006 Nordot Engineering - Accommodation barges for Kashagan - PipefitterDuties included outfitting of modules from empty shells to complete accommodation modules excluding hook up. Installation of pipe work, various sizes and materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper and plastic, valves and associated supports.

April 2005 – Oct 2005 Aker Kvaerner Conoco Philips - Humberside - PipefitterI was employed on pre shut down, pre works, execution and completion of shutdown piping tasks.

August 2004 – Feb 2005 McNulty Offshore – Technip East Area project - PipefitterDuties including outfitting of pipe racks. Pipework installed included carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and erection and jointing of fibrebond pipe work. Completed punch lifts items, testing and commissioning of piping systems.

2003 – 2004 Various Shutdown work scopes for the Petrochemical Industry / Pipe fitter

I was employed by several companies on short term contracts.

2000 – 2003 IKM Mekaniske – Norway - Pipe fitterI was employed on several projects working throughout Norway. The ‘Troll’ project was the most notable. Sites included Stavanger, Stord Island and Haugesund. Predominately pipe fabrication in the fab shop and then installation on site.

1998 – 2000 McNulty Offshore / Fab shop – Pipe fitterI was employed in the fabrication shop fabricating various sizes of pipe work for the Janice alpha Banff FPSO and the Pierce FPSO.

1994 – 1998 AMEC onshore – Wallsend - PipefitterEmployed on several Greenfield projects including Shearwater, Ekofisk and BP ‘ETAP’. I was involved with module fabrication, outfitting also hydro-testing and N2 testing activities.

1990 – 1994 Atlantic Power & Gas - Ninian Central & Ninian North – Buchan alpha & BP Clyde - PipefitterI was involved with pipe fabrication, pipe erection, hydro-testing and commissioning.

1987 – 1990 Tyne Dock Ship repair – Wallsend - Marine PlumberI worked on several ships completing piping and structural repairs. Duties included pipe fabrication, pipe fitting replacing ‘old for new’ pipework and hydro testing. Fabrication of pipe supports and fitting.

1985 – 1987 Swan Hunter / Marine PlumberI was employed on several contracts for the ministry of defence, outfitting ships, working on various piping systems.
