What makes an elephant look like an elephant? How do you draw expressions and emotions on a cartoon face? You will learn how to do these along with all the basic, time-proven sketching techniques in this mini course to become a much better artist in the cartoon tradition. Working together via Zoom, we will draw cartoon people that look animated and loose, and all sorts of animals, throughout our time together. We will explore such cool areas as Drawing 2D, coloring, and using art supplies effectively. Students will learn about entrance exams and how to write an exceptional admissions essay/statement of purpose. We will include a lesson on finance, including a review of financial aid options. Finally, the student will leave the course with a packet that includes examples and information tailored to their own college plans.
