You do not need to wear your school uniform if you are at college for the full day, however you will still need to wear it to your school if you have a day split between college and school.
Do I get a free school meal?If you receive free school meals at school you will also receive free school meals at college from a selected menu.
How do I travelto college?Transport arrangements vary from school to school, with some bringing students to college as a group while independent travellers can make their own way to college.

Amrit Gill is one of the many success stories of the motor vehicle provision, delivered under wider provisions/school links programme. He began at Greenford High School in September 2010, where from year 7 to 9 he became a concern as he demonstrated increasingly disruptive behaviour, which could be easily linked to his lack of academic ability and disengagement for learning.
When Amrit hit Year 10 instead of doing GCSEs he opted for the motor vehicle course at Southall Community College, as he felt destined to work with cars in the future. The course, which he attended twice a week, was the making of Amrit. His attitude, behaviour and focus changed almost immediately after starting the course – he became more engaged at school, he changed some of the friends with whom he previously got in trouble and tried really hard in class. Amrit also worked hard in college through Years 10 and 11 acquiring a pass at the end.
At the end of Year 11 Amrit successfully secured a place with Kwik-Fit on their apprenticeship programme and has passed every assessment so far with flying colours. He has retaken his Maths GCSE to gain a C grade and is waiting to retake English to do the same.
Amrit has a bright future ahead of him.
