Health and Fitness Awareness Programs

Yoga Camp: A Yoga camp was organized for a group of GNITS students from 28th Jan 2013 to 31st Jan 2013 in the campus.

Nutritional Status check (BMI and Body Fat assessment)

The Nutritional status check for students was started from March 2012 to identify their current nutritional status that is whether they come under undernourished/ normally nourished / overweight/ obese category.

VI A.P. Inter Engineering colleges sports meet for Women at GNITS.

VI A.P. Inter-Engineering Colleges Sports Meet- VERVE 2013, organized by G.Narayanamma Inst. Of Tech. & Sc for women (GNITS), was inaugurated on 07-03-2013, in GNITS Campus. Dr.I.Ramachandra Reddy, Director of GNITS, Smt.G.SriVidya Reddy, Joint Secretary and Dr.MVL Surya Kumari, Physical Directress, participated in the inaugural function. About 20 women teams from various Engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh competed in five events namely Volleyball, Throw ball, Basketball, Table tennis and Badminton events. For the closing ceremony on 8th March 2013, , Padmasri Sri. Dhronacharya ARIF Indian badminton coach was the chief guest. Sri. P. Subba Reddy garu, Chairman of GNITS and Smt.Sri Vidya Reddy garu ,joint secretary of GNITS were graced the occasion. Dr.I.Rama Chandra Reddy,Director welcomed the gathering. Dr. Surya kumari, Physical Directress presented a brief report on verve ‘13. Sri ARIF gave away the prizes to the winners. Final results: Throw ball: 1.GNITS A, 2. GNITS B , 3. GNITS Sports day was organized on 4th April 2013 in the campus. Sri. P.Subba Reddy, Chairman was the Chief Guest and Dr. I Rama Chandra Reddy, Director presided over the function. Dr. M.V.L. Surya Kumari, Physical Directress presented a Report on Games and sports activities and achievements during 2012-123. Prizes were given away to the prize winners in various competitions organized for Annual day celebrations.
