College of Santa Fe Launches New Summer Arts Workshops Renowned Artists to Teach Weekend Workshops in Writing and Photography Santa Fe, N.M., March 29, 2010 – The College of Santa Fe is introducing a new series of workshops aimed at providing budding artists with an opportunity to develop and hone their creative skills with professionals in the fields of photography and writing. The College’s weekend arts workshops, available throughout June and July, focus on a variety of disciplines, including landscape photography, poetry and crime fiction. Information about each workshop, including cost, skill level requirements, and instructions on how to register are available at http://www.csf.edu. The workshops will offer participants the chance to study with notable artists such as photographer David Scheinbaum, author Pam Houston, and poet Greg Glazner. In addition to its award-winning faculty, the College of Santa Fe houses the state-of-the-art Marion Center for Photographic Arts, which offers concentrations in studio, history, and curatorial studies. “These workshops are a wonderful opportunity to get hands-on instruction from some of our nation’s finest artists,” said Larry Hinz, President of the College of Santa Fe. “When you take into account the College’s first-rate facilities and the beauty of Santa Fe, this workshop series promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience.”
