• Some schools require recommendations and some don’t
• It is your responsibility to know which schools need what
• Asking for a recommendation is a formal process
• Refer to this form to get some ideas on what you should
provide your recommenders

TEST SCORESSending ACT Scores:
• Tell the ACT where you want your
scores to be sent when register
• After the test, you must order score
reports for a fee of $13 per test date
per report
• You can get more information here
Sending SAT Scores:
• You can send your score for free to 4
schools if you indicate the school codes
when you register for the test and up to 9
days after you take the exam
• You can send scores to colleges after the
9 days, but there is a fee of $12 per school
• You can get more information here
TRANSCRIPTS
For schools that use SSAR:
- You do not need to send a
transcript when you apply
- You DO need to complete
the SSAR and link it to your
application
- You will only send a final
official transcript to the
school where you enroll
For schools that don’t use SSAR:
- It is your responsibility to know if
they are requiring you to submit a
transcript when you apply
- Or if you self report on their
application?
- If you do need to send a transcript
to a college for your admission,
you need to complete a transcript
request form with Mrs. Clapp in
the front office
- Transcripts are $2.00
- You can pick them up in the office
48 hours after they are requested
- You are responsible for sending
your transcript
After May 1st, once you’ve
decided where you plan to
enroll, you will need to let
Mrs. O’Dell know where
you would like us to send
your final official
transcript.

Deposits:
Schools will require a deposit to be paid by May 1st to indicate that you plan on attending. If you plan to live on campus, schools will also require you to submit a housing deposit.
Making decisions:
Once you receive an
admissions decision and a
financial aid package, compare
your options and make a
mindful and sincere decision.

helped you get there:

people who helped you, know
where you’re going and that
you appreciate their support!

PLEASE NOTE
• Dual Enrollment students with an AA – you will apply as a Freshman and be referred to as a
Freshman with credits
• Communicate with your counselor regularly
• Create an appropriate email address and check your email regularly
• Be mindful of deadlines!!!
