Lauren Jones AustinLauren K Jones Austin MA, NCC is the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Program Director for Career Guidance, Counseling and ACE with the Colorado Community College System (CCCS), bridging the gaps between k-12 school districts and postsecondary institutions by providing trainings that help support the implementation of comprehensive career guidance & schools counseling programs and collaborative efforts that parallel Colorado’s education initiatives that support Career Literacy and Meaningful Career Conversations (ICAP, PWR, Graduation Guidelines, POS, Career Pathways and more…). Lauren also coordinates the implementation of Middle School CTE programs as well serves as Project Manager for Equity in Education, supervisor of Colorado’s statewide PWR/ICAP Facilitators (10), Western Region Trustee for AMLE, Region V representative for ACTE Guidance & Career Development Division and constant advocate for Special Populations and everything CTE!

Brad Brauer Brad completed 48 years in education (18 in Christian schools, 30 in the Aurora Public Schools with the last 11 at Pickens Technical College) as instructor, college/career counselor, administrator, federal middle school prevention coordinator, dean and TOSA. Josh Davies Josh Davies is passionate about helping others make a difference in their lives, jobs, and community. Through his work as an executive, speaker, and trainer, he has delivered results around the country. Kurt Fausch PhDKurt is a professor in the Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology at Colorado State University, where he has taught for 34 years. His collaborative research has taken him throughout Colorado and the West, and worldwide, including to Hokkaido in northern Japan, where his experiences were chronicled in the PBS documentary “RiverWebs”. He recently authored a book "For the Love of Rivers" that draws readers into the world of ecologists who study streams and asks what is essential about these ecosystems for humans.

Shelley Goerdt Shelley has been teaching for many years. She haas a deep passion for CTE and is very active in CACTE, ACTE and CATFACS. Shelley is the CATFACS Division president-elect. Sarah Heath PhDSarah is the ACTE Past-President and remains very active in ACTE. Sarah is the Assistant Provost for Career and Technical Education at the Colorado Community College System. Sarah brings a vast knowledge of CTE from her many visits to other states and involvement in the Georgia ACTE.

Mark JohnsonMark is VP of Business Development at CEV Multimedia and is originally from Springfield, MO where he graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in Marketing/Sales Management. Upon graduation, he has worked in the area of sales and sales management. Mark joined the CEV team in 2003 as a Curriculum Sales Consultant. He is part of the team from CEV working with business, industries and corporations to bring online learning and industry backed certifications to students.
Jennifer Jirous-Rapp, PhD Jennifer began her career in education as a Professor at PPCC and later transitioned to a state-level CTE Program Director position. In 2014, Jennifer became the State Programs and Pathways Manager at CDE. She has a B.S. in CIS, a M.B.A., and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Research, and Policy.
Dianne KingslandDianne has worked in education for over twenty years both as a classroom teacher and as an administrator. She has a Master's in Educational Administration from California State University of Fullerton, and a Bachelor's in English from CSUF. Dianne worked as the STEM Coordinator for District 49 in Falcon.
Renee Kuharski, PhDRenee has served in CTE roles at Colorado Mountain College for over 16 years. She holds a Ph.D from CSU in Community College Leadership; an MA from CU – Denver and a BS from the UW – La Crosse. CTE, showing her dogs in competitions and living life in the mountains are a few of her passions. Renee is the Past-President of the CACTA Division and the CACTE Secretary. Michelle KochAs a Colorado native, I feel so fortunate to have enjoyed the beauty of this state my entire life. Growing up in rural Adams County, I participated in 4-H, and focused on FACS projects. I graduated from Colorado State University, with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences in 1991. When time allows, I enjoy creating new recipes, reading, movies, traveling and doing it all with those I love. Michelle is the Treasurer of CACTE, past president of the CATFACS Division. She is the Consumer and Family Sciences Program Director at the CCCS office.Thank you Michelle for all of your hard work and dedication to CACTE this year.
Sheila Lucas, M.A., M.Ed.As a former educator and coach, Sheila creates dynamic Focus Group/Future Search workshops to empower teachers, students, administrators, parents, and business leaders to discover “Exemplary Practices” and research-based tools to prepare all students for success in the Global Knowledge Economy. Sheila is responsible for Workshop design and development, training and client empowerment.
Alex LundAlex is an energetic, positive supporter of CTE. He is very enthusiastic and passionate about helping teachers with solutions from Precision Exams. As the Implementation Specialist for Colorado he loves helping provide educators with the tools they need to help prepare their students for success outside of high school.
Curtis Maberry Cutis is a veteran Colorado teacher of 25 years, with the past 15 devoted to building and sustaining audio/video production programs in the state. He has served on the Executive Board of Student Television Network, and he led that organization as president for two years. Currently, he is teaching audio/video/film production at Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, and also worked as the district’s AV/TV/Film liaison.
Stephen McDowell Stephen is regional manager with FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising for the state of Colorado and is based at their Los Angeles campus.

Debbie Mills Debbie has expertise in career pathways systems, curriculum development, staff development, linkages between secondary and postsecondary institutions, community engagement, and partnerships with business, industry and labor. Extensive expertise includes building partnerships in communities; development of adult career pathways projects; and numerous keynote speeches for state education and workforce conferences. Mills is a subject-matter-expert (SME) for both the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Labor for career pathways.
Ben Nesbitt Ben is Program Director for Skilled Trades & Technical Science. The position enables him to provide leadership and technical assistance for CTE programs across Colorado. With over twenty years in CTE education, Ben is a strong believer in life-long learning, and understands the important role CTE plays in today’s “global economy.”
Jessica Martinez "Team Colorado" consists of representatives from Denver Public Schools, Eagle County Schools, Adams 14 and the BUENO Policy Center. District representatives from Team Colorado won the CABE award in 2015 for their collaborative work in bringing the Seal of Biliteracy to Colorado.
Donny Oakes Donny Oakes is the CTE Senior Certification Specialist for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), the nation’s leading healthcare certification provider. He oversees partnerships with secondary institutions and school districts, ensuring successful implementation of NHA’s nationally recognized, accredited certifications.
Rachel PokrandtRachel has served as CMC’s Rifle Campus Dean since 2012. Rachel also served as the dean of instruction at Front Range Community College, was an executive at a nonprofit research organization, and taught at Cambridge College and the Colorado School of Mines. Rachel is in a doctoral program through the University of Maryland, and holds a MBA and BS from Western Governor’s University.
Julia PirnackJulia has been with College In Colorado since October, 2005. Before working at College In Colorado, Julia's career spanned small business, large for-profit organizations, and as vice president for a national agriculture non-profit. She also served as mayor of Longmont, Colorado from 2001-2007.
Tony RaymondTony was a technology education teacher for more than 11 years. He has served as a chapter advisor for TSA at both the middle and high school levels and knows the challenges and rewards of implementing a CTSO. He is the Assistant Program Director for STEM, Arts and IT and the State Advisor for the Colorado Technology Student Association. Brenda Rhodes Brenda is a Professor for Accounting and Business at Northeastern Junior College. She is also Department Chair for Business and Cosmetology. She is the CACTE Past-President and is very active in the CACTE organization. Brenda has retired this year! Thank you Brenda for all of your hard work!
Rhonda Robbins Rhonda has taught literacy and drama at high poverty, high minority schools including RidgeView Academy, West Middle School (Aurora) and Aurora Central High School. She is currently the Dean of Students at Pickens Technical College in Aurora, Colorado where her responsibilities include professional development.
Shawn Roloff I have been an educator for the past 16 years, and have been a high school English teacher for 13 of those years. I am now a Literacy Teacher Coach at Pickens. As part of my daily job I support teachers in the incorporation of literacy skills in their classrooms.

Mary has her own business, Strategic Decisions Consulting LLC and is consultant for several school districts in Colorado for Career and Technical Education. Tracy Thompson Tracy is a school counselor and an ICAP Implementation Specialist who is dedicated to career development, particularly for young adults.
Brian Tinker, EdD MFA directs the Graphic Design degree program at Isaacson School for New Media at Colorado Mountain College. Prior to joining CMC, he was on the faculty of The Art Institute of Las Vegas. Brian enjoyed a career as an advertising agency creative director and corporate marketing director before entering academia.
Cheri Wright Cheri Wright started her career as a chemical engineer working for Chevron. She began teaching in 1997 and has taught 11 different math and science classes over 16 years. Presently she is serving as an assistant principal at Manual High School over their "Med School”.
Renise Walker Renise is the Education Liaison, a shared position between CWDC and CDE. Her role was created under HB 15-1170 to work with state agencies and local partners in business, education and workforce development to align efforts and advance postsecondary workforce readiness throughout the state.
