CertificationComarkcanprovidecertificatesofcalibrationforitswholeproductrange,tosuitISO9000andotherqualityassuranceprocedures,foodhygieneregulations,HACCPsandenvironmentalregulations.ComarkcertificatesareproducedbyindependentqualitycontrolledprocesseswhichcompareproductperformanceagainstagreedNationalStandards.ForpeaceofmindandbestpracticeComarkrecommendannualcertification/recalibration.

2 . KEY FUNCTIONS

2.1 ON/OFF Key

Pressoncetoswitchontheinstrument.Repeattoswitchoff.

HoldingdownthekeywhenswitchingonwilldisplaythemaximumpressurerangeoftheinstrumentinPSI.

Holdingdownthekeywhenswitchingoffwilldisplayallsegmentsasatest.

2.2 ZERO Key

Presstozerothecurrentreadingsonthedisplaytonul-lifyanyoffsetscausedbylargetemperaturevariations.Theinstrumentwillretainthezerovalueinmemoryevenafterswitchoff,sothatthezeroreadingwillbedisplayedwhentheinstrumentisswitchedonagain.Thezerokeycanbeusedwheneveroffsetsoccur.Pleasenotethatpressingthezerokeyhasnoeffectwhilsttheinstrumentisinholdorrecordmodes.

2.3 SCALE Key

Presstodisplaythepressuremeasurementineachofthedifferentscalesavailable.Theselectedscaleunitisretainedinmemoryevenafterswitchoff,sothattheselectedunitcanbedisplayedwhentheinstrumentisswitched on again.

2.4 HOLD Key

Presstoholdthedisplayedreadingandpressagaintoresumemeasurement.Thescalekeywilloperatewhiletheinstrumentisinholdmodesothattheheldreadingcanbedisplayedindifferentscales.

2.5 FILTER Key

Presstofilterouttransientreadings.Infiltermodetheinstrumentwillaveragethereadingstakenoverthelast4seconds(16readings)toprovideamorestablereadingonthedisplay.Pressthekeyagaintoresumenormalmeasurement.

2.6 RECORD Key

Pressoncetoputtheinstrumentintorecordmode.ThiswillbeindicatedbythewordRECORDonthedisplay.Maximumandminimumpressurereadingscanbestoredanddisplayedwhiletheinstrumentisinrecordmode.Whentheinstrumentisinrecordmode,presskeyoncetodisplaythecurrentmaximumreadingandpressagaintodisplaythecurrentminimumreading.Pressingthekeyathirdtimewillreturnthedisplaytonormalmeasurement.

Recordmodecanbecancelledandthemax/minreadingsclearedbypressingandholdingdownthekeyuntilthewordRECORDdisappearsfromthedisplay.

Thescalekeywilloperatewhiletheinstrumentisinrecordmodesothatthemax/minreadingscanbedisplayedindifferentscales.

2.7 AUTO Switch Off

TheinstrumentcanbeprogrammedtoautoswitchoffbypressingandholdingdowntheHOLDkeywhileusing the ON/OFF keytoswitchontheinstrument.The word AUTOappearsonthedisplaytoindicateautoswitchoffmodeandtheinstrumentwillswitchitselfoffapproximately3minutesafterthelastuseofthekeypad.AutoswitchoffmodecanbecancelledbypressingandholdingdowntheHOLDkeywhileswitchingonmanuallywiththe ON/OFF key.

TheC9500SeriesISinstrumentsarefittedwith 1/8"BSPfemaleconnectors.Thefollowingchecksmustbemadebeforeconnectingtheinstrumenttoapressuresource:-

Checkthesecurityofallfittings.

Check that the pressure source does not exceed the ratingsfortheinstrumentassetoutinTable1.

Checkthatthegasestobemeasuredwillnotdamageorcorrodestainlesssteel,brass,glass,ceramic,silicon,nickel,aluminium,goldorepoxyresin.

Note:ComarkC9500SeriesISPressureMeasurementInstrumentsarenotsuitableforabsolutepressuremeasurement.

Note:Pressuresinexcessofmaximumoverrangefigurewithrespecttoatmosphericpressure,shouldnotbeappliedtoeitherportasthiscoulddamagetheinstrumentorrepresentasafetyhazard.

4.1 Battery Low

LowbatteryisindicatedbythesymbolBAT on the display.Replacethebatteryassoonaspossibleafterthissymbolappears.

4.2 Over Range Pressure

Ifthepressuremeasured(eitherpositiveornegativepressure)exceedsthefullscaleoftheinstrument,thedisplaywillshow––––

Ifthisoccursthepressuremustbereducedtoavoiddamagetothesensorintheinstrument.

4.3 Over 9999 Reading Indication

Ifthenumericvaluefordisplayexceeds±9999,withorwithoutadecimalpoint,thedisplaywillblinkandsuppressthetop(5th)digit,whilstcontinuingwithcorrectvaluesofthelower4digits.

4.4 Differential or Gauge Measurement

C9500seriesinstrumentscanbeusedineitheragaugeordifferentialpressuremeasurementsystem.

Gauge:Forpositivegaugemeasurementsthenegative(-ve)portshouldbeleftopentoatmosphericpressureandthe positive (+ve) port used to input the pressure. For negativegaugemeasurementsthepositive(+ve)portshouldbeleftopenandthe‘vacuum’appliedtothenegative(-ve)port.Pleasenotethatinthiscasethereadingdisplayedwillbepositiveeventhoughavacuumisbeingmeasured.

Differential:Whenmeasuringdifferentialpressures,ensurethatthemostpositive(+ve)pressureisappliedtothepositive(+ve) port.

4 .5 Battery Replacement

UnscrewthetwoAllenscrewsatthebaseoftheinstrumentandslideoffthebatterycover.Replacethebatterywitha9VPP3typeasspecifiedonthelabelinthebatterycompartment.Replacethebatterycovertakingcarenottoovertightenthetwoscrews.A2.5mmA/F hex key is provided.

Note:Donotuseanyothermeansofpowersupplytotheinstrumentotherthanthebatterytypesaslistedontheinstrumentlabel.

2.1 Taste EIN/AUS (ON/OFF)

2.2 Taste NULL (ZERO)

Taste ZEROdrücken,umdieaktuellenMeßwertederAnzeigeaufNullzusetzenundalledurchgroßeTemperaturschwankungenbewirktenVerschiebungenauszugleichen.DerNullwertwirdimGerätauchnachdemAusschalteneingespeichert,sodaßerbeimerneutenEinschaltenwiederaufderAnzeigeerscheint.Die Taste ZEROkannbeimjedemAuftretenvonVerschiebungenverwendetwerden.

Achtung:DasDrückenderTasteZERO hat keine Auswirkungen,wennsichdasGerätimHalte-oderAufnahmemodusbefindet.

2.6 Taste AUFZEICHNEN (REC)

DurcheinmaligesDrückenaufdieseTastewirddieBetriebsartAufzeichnendesGerätsgewählt,diedurchdieMeldungRECaufderAnzeigeerkanntwird.InderBetriebsartAufzeichnenkönnenMax.undMin.Druckwerte gespeichert und angezeigt werden. DasGerätkannaufautomatischesAusschaltenprogrammiertwerden.ZudiesemZweckdieTasteHOLDniederhalten,währenddieTasteON/OFF zumEinschaltendesGerätsverwendetwird.DasWortAUTOerscheintaufderAnzeige,umdenautomatischenAusschaltbetriebanzuzeigen.NachdemletztenTastendruckwirddasGerätautomatischnach3Minutenausgeschaltet.UmdasautomatischeAusschaltenabzuwählen,istdieTasteHOLD zu drückenundniederzuhalten,währenddasGerätdurchdie Taste ON/OFFeingeschaltetwird.

2 . FUNCIONES DE LAS TECLAS

2.1 Tecla ON/OFF

Pulsarlateclaunavezparaencenderelinstrumento.Repitalaoperaciónparaapagarlo.

Manteniendopulsadalateclacuandoenciendeelinstrumentovisualizaelrangomáximodepresióndelinstrumentoenpsi(librasporpulgadacuadrada).

Manteniendopulsadalateclacuandoapagaelinstrumentovisualizatodoslossegmentoscomounaprueba.

2.2 Tecla ZERO (CERO)

Sepulsaparaponeracerolaslecturasactualesdevisualización,paraanularcualquierdesviacióncausadaporvariacionesgrandesdelatemperatura.Elinstrumentoretieneelvalorceroenmemoriadespuésdeapagarelinstrumento,asíquesevisualizaráelvalorcerocuandoseenciendanuevamenteelinstrumento.SepuedeusarlateclaZERO encualquiermomentoenqueocurreunadesviación.LateclaZERO no actuacuandoelinstrumentoestáenmodoHOLD o RECORD .

2.3 Tecla SCALE (ESCALA)

Sepulsaparavisualizarlapresiónencadaunadelasescalasdisponibles.Seretieneenmemorialaunidadseleccionadadelaescaladespuésdeapagarelinstrumento,paraasívisualizarlamismaunidadseleccionadacuandoseenciendanuevamenteelinstrumento.

2.4 Tecla HOLD (RETENER)

Sepulsapararetenerlalecturavisualizadaysepulsanuevamenteparacontinuarlamedición.LatecladeescalafuncionamientraselinstrumentoestáenlamodalidadHOLD,asíquesepuedevisualizarlalecturaretenidaenescalasdistintas.

2.6 Tecla RECORD (REGISTRAR)

Sepulsaunavezparaponerelinstrumentoenmodopararegistrar.EstoseconfirmaconlapalabraRECORD queapareceenlavisualización.Mientraselinstrumentoestáenlamodalidadderegistrosepuedenalmacenaryvisualizarlaslecturasdepresiónmáximaymínima.Enestamodalidad,pulsarlateclaunavezparavisualizarlalecturamàxima,yunavezmásparavisualizarlamínima.Pulsandootravezretornalavisualizaciónalamediciónnormal.

SepuedeanularlamodalidadderegistroyalmismotiempoeliminarlaslecturasmáximaymínimamanteniendopulsadalateclahastaquelapalabraRECORDdesaparecedelavisualización.

Latecladeescalafuncionacuandoelinstrumentoestáenlamodalidadderegistro,paraquesepuedanvisualizarlaslecturasmáximaymínimaenescalasdistintas.

2.7 AUTO Desconexión

SepuedeprogramarelinstrumentoparaautodesconexiónmanteniendopulsadalateclaHOLDmientraspulsalateclaON/OFF para encenderelinstrumento.LapalabraAUTO aparece enlavisualizaciónparaindicarlamodalidaddedesconexiónautomática,yelinstrumentoseapagaráautomáticamenteunos3minutosdespuésdelaúltimavezquesehausadoelteclado.SepuedeanularlamodalidaddedesconexiónautomáticamanteniendopulsadalateclaHOLD,mientrasapagaelinstrumentomanualmenteconlateclaON/OFF.

4.3 Señal de Lectura más de 9999

Sielvalornuméricodelavisualizaciónexcede±9999,oconunpuntodecimalosinunpuntodecimallavisualizaciónparpadearáysuprimiráeldígitomásalto(quinto),mientraspresentatodavíalosvalorescorrectosdelos4dígitosmásbajos.

4.4 Medición de presión o presión diferencial

LosinstrumentosdelaserieC9500sepuedenutilizartantoparamedirpresióncomopresióndiferencial.

Presión:Paramedirpresionespositivas,elconectornegativo(-ve)debepermanecerabiertoalapresiónatmosféricaylapresiónamedirseconectaráenelconectorpositivo(+ve).Paramedirpresionesnegativas,elconectorpositivo(+ve)debepermanecerabiertoalapresiónatmosféricayelvacíoamedirseconectaráenelconectornegativo(-ve).Enestecasolalecturavisualizadaserápositivaapesardehaberaplicadovacío.

Presión Diferencial:Almedirpresionesdiferenciales,asegúresedequelomáspositivo(+ve)seaplicapresiónalpositivo(+ve)puerto.
