COMAU EXHIBITS AT GLOBAL AUTOMOTIVE LIGHTWEIGHT MATERIALS 2016 EVENT
Southfield, MI, August 4 – From August 23 - 25, Comau, a member of FCA Group, will present and have an exhibit at Global Automotive Lightweight Materials (GALM) 2016. The event analyzes the latest advancements in composite solutions and benchmarks the most effective joining methods for mixed material designs. Mark Anderson, Comau’s Materials and Technology Director, North America, will present on the topic of BIW Advanced Materials Manufacturing – Solutions and Considerations. His speech is in regards to vehicle manufacturers continuing to reduce vehicle weight through the use of advanced materials for the structure of the automotive body. This trend introduces new requirements, processes and challenges into the body shop.
Successfully securing its place as one of the most sought after lightweighting events within the automotive industry, the 5th GALM conference is returning to Detroit to help OEMs wade through the increasing variety and complexity of lightweighting solutions.
