Provide an overview on the 335th Signal Command (Theater) organization and mission, as well as, the roles and responsibilities of the Command in supporting Army, Joint, and DOD operations.

Purpose





Mobilized continuously as an Enduring Unit Since October 2001, and deployed as the

335th Signal Command (Theater) (Provisional) at Camp Doha and Arifjan, Kuwait in the

US Central Command AOR.

History

• Constituted 13 February 1953 in the Army Reserve as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 335th Signal Group, and assigned to Third Army.

• Activated 28 February 1953 in Atlanta, GA.

• Reorganized and re-designated 31 March 1955 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 335th Signal Group.

• Ordered into active military service 15 October 1961 and reorganized in Atlanta, GA.

• Released 13 August 1962 from active military service at Fort Gordon, GA, and reverted to reserve status.

• Location change 19 April 1971 to East Point, GA.

• Re-designated 19 April 1986 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 335th Signal Command.

• Designated an Operational and Functional Command 1 October 2006.

• Awarded the Global War on Terror Campaign Credit August 2005 to August 2006. Awarded Global War on Terror Campaign Credit August 2005 to August 2006. Awarded Meritorious Unit Citation for the period of 15 July 2005 to 14 July 2006.

• Assumed USARC Cyber Functional Command role 1 October 2014 and relinquished USARC CBRNE Functional Command role to 76th ORC 1 October 2015 (maintained USARC Signal Functional Command role and Operational SC(T))

Purpose





Who We Are

• Established Signal Command (Theater) HQ in 2001 in support of USARCENT/CJFLCC.

• USARCENT Commander directed Provisional Command activation in 2005 to gain direct control over a critical combat enabling capability.

• CG, 335th SC (T)(P) is the only MSC Commander with an enduring rotational headquarters, and is dual-hatted as an USARCENT primary staff.

• Over 500 USAR Soldiers under the 335th Signal Command (Theater) (Provisional) are currently deployed to seven different countries. USARCENT Permanent Order 041-01
