David joined Argent in 1990, he was appointed Joint Chief Executive in 2006 and Managing Partner of the new Argent LLP in 2012 and is Joint CEO of the new Argent Related Partnership. He has overall responsibility for all Argent business, including structuring and establishing financial and management programmes. He oversees the sourcing, master planning, building design, financing and legal aspects for all projects. David is Junior Vice President of the British Council for Offices and sits on the Policy Committee of the British Property Federation and on the Advisory Board for the UKTI’s Regeneration Investment Organisation (RIO). @ArgentLLP

Malcolm is an experienced solicitor and consultant to City law firm Charles Russell Speechly LLP. Qualified in 1994, Malcolm specialises in real estate, telecoms and environmental matters. He has a particular interest in smart city projects and is regularly engaged in the UK and overseas to write and lecture on policy, regulation and other legal factors. Malcolm is co-author of the UK chapter in Green Buildings and the Law (CIB, 2011) and of Strategic Sustainable Procurement DoSustainability, 2014).

Huw Stephens
UK Head of Transactions, AXA Real Estate
Huw has over 28 years of experience in the UK Real Estate profession, with a predominant focus on the Central London market. Graduating in 1983, Huw initially worked at Legal & General, then joined Hillier Parker in 1987 before continuing his career with Trafalgar House between 1988 and 1994. Huw started at AXA in 1994, and since 2009 Huw has been UK Head of Transactions sourcing and procuring investment and development product in Central London. Recent transactions total c£600m in two development sites (60 Holborn Viaduct, EC1 and Bevis Marks House, EC3) both of which will be speculatively developed into a supply constrained market and 20 Gresham Street, EC2. @AXA
Tomáš Jurdák Managing Director, HB Reavis UK
Tomáš joined HB Reavis in 2011 as Acquisition Manager, mainly responsible for the Group’s expansion into new markets. Following the successful acquisition of HB Reavis’ first UK asset in 2013, Tomáš relocated to London and became the Managing Director of HB Reavis UK. He is charged with introducing the company to the UK market, developing the overall operation and sourcing future projects for HB Reavis to invest in. Tomáš holds a Masters in Engineering from the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, the Faculty of Sustainable and Experimental Architecture. He also holds an MBA in Business Strategy from the EADA Business School in Barcelona. @HBReavisUK

Matthew has been head of the International Capital Group (ICG) in Europe and the Middle East since 2011. The ICG focuses on harnessing cross-border capital flows and is dedicated to serving globally oriented clients who wish to build international portfolios. With 16 years’ experience in the European investment market, Matthew has worked across JLL’s investment services including experience in Corporate Finance, running the pan-European Corporate Capital Markets team and a twelve month secondment with Lloyds Banking Group. New Ideas for Housing London - deadline for entries: 5pm on Friday 7 August NLA is inviting submissions to a major new ideas competition, in partnership with the Mayor of London, to find fresh thinking on how to unlock London’s housing supply and deliver more homes. We are looking for a range of innovative ideas, big and small, from solutions for planning policy, land & funding to construction, procurement & design.
The competition is free and open for anyone to enter. Winning entrants will be invited to join a high-level GLA working group to explore how their ideas could be delivered on a real London site. All winning and shortlisted ideas will be show-cased in a three-month NLA exhibition and publication, and presented to key government representatives and London Mayoral candidates.
