SPG Solar Management

I was brought on with SPG Solar to Supervise the construction of large scale multi-axis solar tracking systems. Before my job began I was sent to the field to train their management teams on current CAL/OSHA Safety regulations and sharpen their management skills in dealing with Subcontractors.

Riverdale High Maintenance Building

Riverdale High was a prevailing wage site and had 30 – 40 workers on site every day. Having such a small amount of workers made it easy to teach the Field Managers proper safety techniques and a more productive way of dealing with Subcontractors, while learning about the tracking systems SPG Solar was using on their projects. This job came in under budget and on time.

This was a larger project located on the other end of the High School property. The project employed 40 workers every day. I came in to Supervise the project midway through completion. This job went very well and had a very high profit margin.

Campos Brothers Farms

I came into this project expecting to Supervise outside Contractors. After reviewing the contracts, we decided that there was not going to be enough of a profit margin to build it this way. Through SPG, I hired on new workers and completed the job with 90 percent in house workers. This gave me the opportunity to manage all aspects of PV systems, from land development to the finished product. This job was extremely productive, allowing me to finish it ahead of schedule and above projected profits.
