Vision Charter School Elementary Enrichment Opportunities

An enriched, accelerated, arts and science focused curriculum is offered to all students at Vision.

Enrichment clubs challenge students to utilize higher-order thinking skills and access deep and meaningful learning.

Citizen Leaders

These VCS studentsdonated their time towork with the City ofCaldwell to markstorm drains thatlead directly to theBoise River. Studentsspent 2.5 hours onSaturday, April 14th.This was the firstgroup of students toparticipate and theywere recognized bythe City of Caldwellfor their efforts.

Robotics

In celebration of the joint focus of Arts and Science at VCS,

the Robotics team assembled a robot to

play the part of Toto in the Drama Club’s

production of “The Wizard of Oz”.

In 2012, VCS's Robotics Club traveled to U of I to participate in the First Tech Challenge! The team uses mathematical thinking and principles of engineering to design, build, and program a robot to perform specific

tasks. The team was named as a finalist for the "Motivate" award.

across the curriculum at VCS.

The Drama Club’s production of “The

Wizard of OZ” featured

Kindergarteners as Munchkins, bringing

our secondary and elementary students together creatively.

The Musical Theatre class performed “Flapper” at the

Nampa Civic Center.

Band, Orchestra, Choir and Guitar are popular at the Secondary level

Sciences2nd graders study bugs and perform experiments with worms, 6th graders mummify chickens, and high school students learn about flash points. Science in K through 12th at VCS is integrated, hands-on, relevant and engaging.

To further enrich and accelerate the learning of Vision Charter High School students, an increasing number of dual credit and AP courses are available, taught on campus by our own teachers who are credentialed to teach at the University level.

class and has embarked upon some recent firsts like Jr. Prom and a Senior Trip to Disneyland. We are looking forward to more momentous firsts, namely, Graduation.

VCS 1st graders featured on KTVB during their annual “Manners Banquet”, a “black-tie” affair where children practice the etiquette learned in the classroom.

VCS Science teacher Mr. George was selected as a 2012 Governor’s Industry and Notable Teaching in STEM (GIANTS) recipient for the state of Idaho. This award recognizes teachers who integrate real life applications of science and technology in their classrooms.

A branding campaign is underway that includes a new logo and a website revamp. We will showcase Vision Charter School and its new facility in the community.
