Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen

TABERNACLE T-SHIRTS AVAILABLE Tabernacle T-shirts are available for purchase over the course of these next two weeks. Many of us will wear one during the Fan Feast and at vari-ous volunteer events in the year ahead. The youth group will often wear the T-shirts at retreats and/or summer camp. Purchase one for yourself or a friend. Cotton T-shirts are $10. Running Shirts are $15.
GREETERS NEEDED FOR FAN HOUSE TOUR, DEC. 8 AND 9 Tabernacle will serve as a hospitality center for the 50th Annual Holiday House Tour, featuring an array of fabulously-decorated homes in the Fan District, on December 8 and 9, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. We need greeters to welcome our guests in the Sanctuary in one or two-hour time slots. Please contact [email protected] if you are availa-ble.
POINSETTIAS If you would like to place a poinsettia in the Sanctuary (December 16-23) in memory or honor of a loved one, please complete one of the forms located in the back of the Sanctuary or on the flower table in the hallway. The cost is $11.50 per plant. The forms can be placed in the offering plate or mailed to the church office. The deadline for placing orders is December 13.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT AT BON AIR BAPTIST CHURCH, DECEMBR 6, 7-9:00 PM Since 2000, Andrew Peterson and his friends have performed “Behold the Lamb” around the country, telling again and again this true myth, as C.S. Lewis called it, this tale that’s bigger than life, but is astonishingly true. The tour has become a yearly tradition not just for Andrew and the other artists on the tour, but for families and churches who attend the concert each season. Tickets will sell out soon and can be ordered online (see our website) for $12.50 each. Contact Sterling Severns for more information.
CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN Plan now to join your church family for a Christmas party for families with children on December 8 from 5:30-7:30 in the Fellowship Hall. This will be a pot-luck dinner and will include games and crafts for all ages.
ADVENT LENDING LIBRARY Advent is coming soon. Advent is a wonderful time to try out family devo-tions, to have a small group of friends reading the same devotional book or just to enjoy some devotional time just between you and God. I have a large number of Advent devotional books for people of all ages. I will place them on a shelf in the church library for people to borrow as you can use them. Please plan to return them at the end of the Christmas season as we will need them again next year! There are children’s books and adult devotional books. INVITATION TO COMMITMENT: We commit ourselves to another year of fruitful ministry and we present to God our pledge to give back our time, our monetary resources, and energy. The enclosed pledge letter is something we have asked the congregation to pray about over these last two weeks. Please review the document and prepare to bring it forward during the Invi-tation to Commitment. Members and guests alike are encouraged to bring the pledge letter forward and place it on the Lord’s Table.
