I found the Ward Lock Guide to
Dorset and London in an old
book shop. Dates to 1930s
40s. I scanned it in and worked
on pages as backgrounds to
paintings.

I like the colour palettes used in these old
transport posters - possible palettes to use
in the future

Dorice the donkey- this is a
donkey we met on a camping
trip in the Isle of Purbeck

Pete Dorices male
friend. These donkeys had
so much character and mypalette choice for these
was some thing I have
used before and I think the
colours work well together.
I also think these colours
encapsulate the Isle ofPurbeck in my eyes.

Cardiff Roath Park
These are sketched from my visit to Roath Park where I became
fascinated by a Koi carp that looked like it had a human face.

This series of paintings of my
aunts English Setter is inspired byartist Ron Burns but in hindsight I
think the use of colour has an air
of David Hockney about it. I
think Im going to explore this
more

Charlie Paint wash
on a background of
newspaper - this is anexperimental piece
which I think worked
well and I think it
sums up the character
of the dog. He always
has this grumpy,slightly aggressive face
however his character
couldnt be further
away from this.

Portraits of musicians I admire I plan to build on this. These are
more of a hobby and may not be included in the final book
