WINTER DAYS ARE HERE! Anytime we have bad weather on the weekends throughout the winter season, & you wonder if church times have been changed or canceled, please call the church office at 304-342-6052. Wait for the voice mail, which will notify you if there are changes. If the message is “normal,” then service times are normal. Our Facebook page will also be used for updating information,
please “like” our page to get these updates. Text & email message updates are also available, if you have signed up. Wednesday evenings will follow the Kanawha Co. Schools decisions.
WV SOUTH DISTRICT SNOW TUBING—All teens are invited to attend snow tubing at WinterPlace on Friday, January 17th, from 5—10 p.m. See Pastor Rob to sign up! Cost is $32 and includes dinner.
Needles will meet January 7th at 10 a.m. in the Encouragers Room. TUPPERWARE CHOIR FUNDRAISER—Help the Music & Drama Department by joining us for a Tupperware Party on Saturday, January 18th, 10 a.m.—Noon in the Fellowship Hall with Refreshments & Demonstrations! Help us collect orders from your co-workers neighbors, friends & we will get 40% of all sales! Have

UPCOMING EVENTS 2019 YEAR END GIVING—Just a reminder that all funds to be included on the 2019 giving records for income tax deduction receipts must be turned into the church office TODAY for 2019 credit (or December 31st if using online giving). Consider giving an additional birthday/Christmas offering gift in honor of our Lord!
GRIEFSHARE—If you are grieving the loss of someone close to you, you can find comfort & support at our new GriefShare Seminar/Support Group beginning Sunday, February 2nd, in the Fellowship Hall. The program is 13 weeks and will meet on Sunday evenings. The only cost is for the workbook ($15). Sign
up at the Welcome Center if you are interested. If you have any questions, please see Debbie Fields.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNERS WILL RESUME JANUARY 15TH
! CHRISTMAS TEAR DOWN will be Saturday, January 4th, at 9 a.m. We could use lots of help!
LADIES NIGHT OUT—Join us at 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 7th, at Olive Garden. All ladies are welcome to attend! Sign up at the Welcome Center. It’s a great time to bring a friend with you!
RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE—A blood drive for the Red Cross will be held in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday, January 9, from 2:00—7:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary! If you prefer an appointment, please go to www.redcross.org and enter: elkriver.
All blood types are needed! FINANCIAL PEACE CLASS—We will be offering a Financial Peace University Class utilizing Dave Ramsey's materials beginning on February 4th, 2020 at 6:30 p.m., and will run for 9 weeks. We need to know how many are interested. The cost will be $85 per couple or attendee. Class Facilitator is Marvin Taylor. We have the following possibilities for the class: Flex class: It is a shorter class time but requires the participant to watch a video prior to class in
preparation for the class. The class contains a short summary video and then activities, exercises and discussion. It is designed to be about 45 to 60 minutes of class time. Traditional class: A longer video is watched in class. The class then does activities, exercises and discussion. It is designed to be about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours of class time. Please sign up at the Welcome Center & mark your preference!
