my stance that the West Valley Animal Shelter should remain afull municipal shelter, just as it was prior to its closing in April2020. Prop F was a bond measure we taxpayers approved in 2000to build, expand, and renovate the city’s animal shelters. The SanFernando Valley was supposed to have 3 shelters but one wasalready given to a private rescue organization. If West Valley isalso given away, that would leave only one shelter to serve over1.5 million people and 260 square miles in the SFV and that is notacceptable. It is your privilege and responsibility to protect andrespect the will and voice of your constituents. I implore you touphold the duties of your office, and move to keep the WestValley Animal Shelter open as a full service municipal shelter,just as it was before its closing due to COVID-19. KathleenEdwards Porter Ranch resident

remained closed during the recent heat waves is unfathomable.West Valley is air conditioned, East Valley is not. West Valleycan accommodate horses. During the worst fire season Californiahas ever seen the West Valley Shelter remains closed. Why? Whois making these decisions and why are they not heldaccountable???

independent investigation needs to happen asap. So many animalskilled under her watch, complete incompetence. What are youdoing to stop her? Why are you letting this happen? Allowing thismakes you all accomplices under state law. Two shelters stillclosed? Please explain why you are leaving animals in the streets?
