In order to help readers, I used:

• Command: as CLI prefix of CM;

• Strings to be typed are light green colored, all customizable generic names in italic light green;

• comments between {{ }}, note in NOTE: and important thing to remember in REMEMBER:

This guide ‘ll help you to create a blacklist of phone numbers on CM for incoming calls.

As example, here there’s an Avaya Aura system on which we want to inhibit in any situation, for inbound calls, the phone number

339XXXXXXX (this phone number is just an example, remember to use always the international prefix ) to access to the Vector 17

in order to be routed in the system.

VRT (Vector Routing Table) are special tables used in CM containing phone numbers for whitelist and blacklist.

Connect to CM (for more details see F104616)

Type

Command: list vrt

and press ENTER. Move to last page pressing F7

Here the last VRT is 19, so you can create 20.

Type

Command: change vrt number_of_VRT_you_want _to_create {{ ex. change vrt 20 }}

and press ENTER.

Move using the arrow keys and type

as ‘ Name ‘: name_you prefer_for_the_VRT {{ ex. BlackList Produz }}

as ‘ Sort? ‘: n

after move to row 1, type

phone_number_to_put_in_blacklist {{ ex. 338XXXXXXX }}

and press F3 to save. After verify that the new VRT is present on the list and it’s ok. Type

Command: list vrt

and press ENTER

press F1 and type

Command: display vrt number_of_vrt_you_created {{ ex. display vrt 20 }}

and press ENTER. You should see something like below.

As said before , as example we’ll use Vector 17.

Type

Command: display vector number_of _the _vector {{ ex. display vector 17 }}

and press ENTER.

Press F3 to move to next pages of the Vector until the first free row

Above you can see row 22 free. Press F1, type

Command: change vector number_of _the _vector {{ ex. change vector 17 }}

and press ENTER.

We have to bind the VRT to the Vector.

IMPORTANT: Remember to insert the VRT always on the first row of a Vector (it’s mandatory); if this is full, add a new row 1.

In the example above, the first row (step 01) is not free. In order to add a new row, press ESCAPE, f and 6 at the same time and

after press ADD ROW 01.

NOTE: When you add a new row to a Vector, all subsequent rows ‘ll be moved to the next position (subsequent only, not previous),

for example row 20 ‘ll be moved to position 21 and row 21 ‘ll be moved to position 22.

Now we can continue with the setting of the Vector.

Press F3, move to row 23 (step 23) using down arrow key and type

disconnect after announcement none

move to row 24, type

stop

and press F3 to save.

Now Press F8 to come back to the previous Page, move to row 1 using down arrow key and type

goto step 23 if ani in table number_of_the _VRT_you_created_above {{ ex. goto step 23 if ani in table 20 }}

Now press F1, type

Command: display vector number_of _the _vector {{ ex. display vector 17 }}

and press ENTER.

You should see something like below.

Now all inbound calls from 339XXXXXXX involving Vector 17 ‘ll be automatically rejected.

>>>03) Add a new phone number to the VRT

If you want to block all incoming calls from another phone number, press F1,

Type

Command: change vrt number_of_VRT_you_awnt _to _change {{ ex. change vrt 20 }}

and press ENTER.

On row 2 type

phone_number_to_put_in_blacklist {{ ex. 338XXXXXXX }}

and press F3 to save.
